Hello Little Miss!!! Good to see you, welcome back
. Hope everything is all ok with you?
Slept a bit better last night - got about 6 solid hours so feel like a new woman today
Got up at 5am, walked and fed the dog and am just about to jump in the shower. Feeling quite positive today for some reason - probably due to having a proper sleep. Just spent a few minutes checking the bank accounts, all ok there and a little happy surprise of £50 cash back from home insurance that I took out in the summer and completely forgot about. A nice start to the day .... Have put it in the contingency savings account and might put it towards a new laptop if work don't hurry up and buy me one.
Just over two more weeks to payday and everything seems under control and on budget, fingers crossed it stays that way.
OH is going to London for a couple of days with work so I'll have a quiet night tonight, possibly getting some work out of the way so I don't have to do it on the weekend, and if I'm not too late home, a quick run. I must be feeling better......:)0 -
No running tonight - was later home than I'd hoped and by the time I'd walked the dog and eaten it was 7.30 and I still had work to do.
Never mind - there's always tomorrow.
Have watched the last episode of series one on Line of Duty and am just going to watch the first episode of Maniac on Netflix then have an early night.
Friday tomorrow ..... Hurrah !!0 -
Oooo It's always nice when you get 'suprise' money.
I found a £5 note among some receipts today...not quite as impressive as yours.

Happy Saturday!
Been busy so far today....
Stayed at OHs last night but had a really rubbish sleep as the dog was out of sorts - he seems a bit better now but he was up and down all night.
Walked him, showered then went to the hairdressers to get my roots done - a junior did them (no cutting!) as my usual hairdresser is on holiday. The one good thing is that it was cheaper than normal
Had a quick look in a boutique that had a sale on and bought two tops - not tried them on yet but they look quite nice. Smart and quite classy looking - will see if I still think that when I've tried them on .... Feeling old, fat and grey.... At least my hair is the right colour again though.
Popped into Aldi to get bits for the week - £32 spent, much of it on meat for the dog who's gone off almost everything recently. He needs to eat at his age and so I'm resorting to bribery.
Have come home, hoovered and dusted the whole house, watered the plants, cleaned the kitchen and all of the wooden floors and had a tidy round. Still need to change the bed and clean the bathrooms but will do that after a soak later. OH is coming over this evening to stay - I don't know if we'll go out anywhere first though, depends on what time it is.
Need to go for a run this afternoon and to take the dog to the park later but otherwise all the jobs for the weekend are done. I've got loads of work to do tomorrow and want to get out in the fresh air somewhere too.
I'm going to have a little sit down for a short while then get out to pound the streets - I've already changed into my running kit to force myself to go....;)0 -
Run done - hard work but over with now and I'm pleased I made the effort. Have also taken the dog to a different park for a change and he seemed to enjoy it.
Just about to have a soak in the bath, do a face mask and change the bed.
It's a nice day and I've enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine.
I've just finished the latest audiobook and have downloaded the sequel - a Scottish crime thing - gritty and fast paced - will listen to a bit more in the bath.
Feel like I've had a fairly productive day considering I had virtually no sleep.
Fingers crossed it's better tonight.0 -
Morning all!
Finally slept properly - 7 hours uninterrupted kip - feel much better today.
OH stayed over but has gone home now to get ready for golf - watching and playing.
Have loads of work to do this morning - I'm hoping to have it all done by 2pm so I can still have a bit of a Sunday. Also need to go for a run - might do that first to get it out of the way. I've already walked the dog so he's sorted until this afternoon. He had a better night too so all is good
We watched a couple of episodes of Killing Eve last night - very good, so I might watch another later.
Right, better get the washing machine going and get out for a trot before I lose the motivation......0 -
Run done - better than yesterday so I'm glad I went now.
I've spent about 5 hours working so have decided to give up now - managed to plan and resource all my lessons for the week, mark two full sets of year 11 assessments, catch up on email, book a load of observations and appointments and update the development plan. I still have quite a bit of report writing left to do but can do anything more until I'm in work. Enough for one day.....
I'm going to have a nice soak in the bath, take the dog to the park later, get clothes ready for the week and generally potter about and catch up on some telly.
It is Sunday!0 -
Just been checking over the finances - it's two weeks to payday and it looks like I'm not going to need to dip into the big chunk of contingency money I've put by. I just need one more week of groceries and to pay for the dogs haircut next weekend, otherwise it's just some spending money.
I was underpaid by £500 (tax code mess up) that I'll hopefully get back this month - I made the usual saving deposits and paid all the bills and transferred £800 that was left from august's wages into a contingency account in the hope I could keep hold of it and save it eventually and it looks like I'll be able to
There's £1000ish in the contingency account that will get moved to proper savings when I get paid again, plus the £500 rebate if it materialises. It all seems too good to be true but I've checked and rechecked and it's all good
Had a very satisfying tea of vegetarian pie, mash and gravy and apple crumble- stuffed and happy .....0 -

Hi Loopy - great to see you!
Thank you for reading my drivel! I'm always amazed that anyone does
A good day at work - busy but got a lot sorted. Still loads to do though....as ever.....
Got home just after 5pm and took the dog straight out to the park for about 45 mins and killed two birds with one stone and rang mum for a good chat. She's talking about organising Xmas already!! Going to have to book Xmas dinner somewhere - there's no way I'm cooking for the clan.
Had a yummy tea of posh fish finger sandwiches and am just waiting for some left over apple crumble to warm up in the oven for dessert.
Done 12000 steps today and still need to take the dog out for his evening stroll.
Have tidied the kitchen and put the bins out ready for collection in the morning and made lunch for work tomorrow. Trying to have a couple of no spend days this week as I don't really need anything and am good at just popping in to the shop for one thing and spending £15
Going to have a quiet night in, maybe do a spot of work, watch some telly and have an early night. I don't want to be tired all week again. I'm in Leeds at a meeting all day on Thursday and then have to go back to work for open evening so want to keep the late nights to a minimum this week. Think I'm seeing OH on Wednesday (usually do our own thing after long days at work on Monday and Tuesday) but otherwise don't have any plans for the week.0
