I walked for 30 minutes today.
So I didn’t enjoy the facial. It wasn’t at all relaxing. So much so that I will only have facials if it is something I don’t have the equipment to do. I am glad I went so now I know this. The facial was £12 and that is cheap I know but I could do this myself for much less.
I got my eyebrows threaded for a few pounds at the train station and they did a fantastic job.
I am booked for a manicure next week at the college. I NEVER do my own so this will be worth it to me.
I got a free eye test voucher so that saves me £25 :j
I am still eating low sugar and low carbs.
I can see I am making positive steps towards my health and wellbeing and I am feeling better for itIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

I had a ginormous breakfast today. I woke up starving hungry as yesterday I stopped eating before 4pm. I had a very long day. After work I visited my previously mentioned relative in hospital and he was so glad to see me I was so happy I went.
When I got home it was 9pm and I was so exhausted I just went to bed.
Today is another busy one. I have the day off but helping a friend out setting up for an event from midday. I will attend the event in the evening.
I work tomorrow in exchange for taking the day off today but I can do it from home so that is fine.;)
I am going to start using a rucksack again. It is hard to spontaneously decide to walk with a handbag and a rucksack will be better as I use a water bottle, reusable coffee cup and a lunchbox!
Today will be a NSD as yesterday was spendy: the gifts for my relative (5) fares (8) tea (2) and coffee (2) lunch (6) =£21
I’ve discovered filter coffee iin Pr3t s 49p if I use my own cup so I will be doing that in future :money:
Hairyhand helped me understand why my electricity bill was so high. I hadn’t realise it had increased in cost so heavily. My priority this week is to buy the kettle to use on the hob as I use the kettle loads as I am here during the day more often than not.

if you are interested in changing providers there are a lot of niche companies offering innovative green or membershp deals. They put me off initally, but most have been around for a couple of years and dont seem to be going anywhere.
The one I use Pure Planet - it is basically a membership club (with a £10 a month per fuel charge - equivalent to the standing charge) and then you pay for what you use at their wholesale rates.
I have big old detached house with big bills so the membership is a smaller proportion - but it wa still 30% cheaper then my previous provider - looking like £1400 this year rather than £1800 (and I had already shopped around). I also like it as it is entirely app based and doesnt rely on smart meters - you just fill in your usage detail monthly when prompted
If you are interested there is a Pure Planet referral board (or PM me :-) ). Other suppliers are available, but I liked that it was 100% green/offsetI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

I find a rucksack easier to be and about with, especially when I have the grandchildren two hands free , it holds much more and they are trendy as well. Good to hear you went to visit your relative .

My relative is a lovely person who never complains. When I saw him last it was at home. I’ve phoned him since and he always says he is fine and he sounded well. Through the grapevine I heard he is in hospital and has been for weeks even when I was calling him and he was saying he was fine! I turned up at the hospital and he was overjoyed to see me.
I agree about the rucksack. have my eye on a lovely trendy one.

I’ve been crazily busy for 3 days straight. The good news is two NSDs in a row for me. The bad news is my house is a complete tip. Working today, but with the rest of the day I’m focused on DRUDGE jobs and wrestling the house back under control.
Two loads of washing done and out drying.
I was out last night. I could only be out so late driving here and there because of my car. It was really helpful yesterday.
Thinking about saving electricity: I need more underwear generally, and then I will be switching to washing on one day a week just 2 loads. A mixed and white wash. Currently I run the machine with very little in whenever I feel like it. Going to stop that.
I leave lights on sometimes when not in a room. Going to stop that too.
I am going to think about new energy providers (thanks Marks88) but most of all I am going to focus on being less wasteful and cutting my use.
Tomorrow I have a roofer coming to quote for a job. I don’t feel nervous in the least as he is nice and I am used to and trust him

Always worth a check - and what's good for me isn't necessarily good for you with our different houses and different lifestyles. However ther are plenty of comparison websites incliding MSE's energy club and uswitch. Generally exit fees (if any) are nowhere near the savings - and if you have been on one of the big 6 for a while you may see savings in the £100s - and its not like anything changes - same pipes same fuel just a commercially different deal/provider.
Good luck with eveything else, we had our whole downstairs painted and it was a lot of fuss but everything looks nicer now, and all the clutter is locked in the spare room so it feels great (I know I have sort out the clutter but for now I am pretending its not there and having a lovely nearly lazy weekend)
my frog at the moment is mobile contracts where I am still paying for the kids even though they are all working - its just getting together at the same time as CS is open. Have set target for end of contracts (Mar 19) but hope to have it done by christmasI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Glad I could help. I love my hob kettle and have used it for about eight years.
