my frog at the moment is mobile contracts where I am still paying for the kids even though they are all working - its just getting together at the same time as CS is open. Have set target for end of contracts (Mar 19) but hope to have it done by christmasIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. The roofer cannot do the job, so I will be looking for someone else. Back to drawing board and it doesn't look like I will get someone now until the Spring. He could not recommend anyone else either. Annoying. Going to focus on the window now and the redecoration of the room once that window is done. That should take me into April when I can think about redoing all fascias rather than doing a piecemeal job.
I have just received a call from the relative I have not spoken to for over 5 years. We are reunited. It made me reflect on the role of fate.
I bumped into my relative’s son in an unexpected context. We caught up. I had the time (day off) to buy a card and some wine and send it to his mother via him to ask to put our differences behind us.
In conversation I found out a close relative was in hospital. I did not want to go to the hospital for fear of meeting other difficult relatives. I visited. Despite him having streams of visitors all day when I visited there was no one else there and we had hours together. He was overjoyed to see me and me him.
All of that chain occurred because I bumped into a relative’s son out of the blue. I acted because I believe when something happens that appears to be an amazing coincidence I try and ask what the universe wants me to do

Hi DIA - I've been away for a while but managed to catch up with your diary.
Irritating about the roofer - I hope you can find someone else suitable soon. Glad you have the window situation in hand and you're pushing forward with that. It must be nice to see progress, little steps as they may be.
So lovely to read about your family reconciliations. I like to think i consider 'coincidences' as 'fate', or at least a chance to think about next steps in situations like yours. Life is too short, and it seems like you have had a lovely time catching up.
Hope all is well for you otherwiseSealed Pot Challenge 075

17 days until I am off work until the Spring
WFH and it is cold.I try not to do heating until it gets dark.
I made a Thai red curry. The coconut milk made it feel heavy. I don’t think I like coconut milk. Reading the ingredients it as quite a few gums and fillers. Yuk.
Tried to book a free eye test online. Would have been :money: but unsuccessful.
Asked a friend to recommend a plasterer and she is asking her partner.
Chased the squirrel guy again. This problem won’t go away.
Feeling my mood slip today but GP tomorrow for health checks, maybe if I have good news I’ll feel a bit better.
I’m lucky to have a house at all I get that, but sometimes it feels like a lot to get up to standard by myself.
17 days to go until I stop work. Did I mention that already? If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
