Pity about the builder. I like my builder, but my tolerance for having him around is low... (and he actually asks me to look at stuff and gets me involved in decisions on how stuff should be done).
Well done on the eating. Travel/jet lag/exhaustion/hotel & conference food aren't helping me. Although jet lag and exhaustion have resulted in missing a few meals. Exercise isn't great although I've been moving a lot and been for early morning swims the last two days. I'm about to get up for a sunrise run with a colleague, followed by a swim, followed by packing as I have to get on a plane after work today and spent 24 hours or so getting home...0 -

Thanks everyone.
I have a lot more weight to lose. I was going to switch to the blood sugar plan in the book in November, but I don't feel the need to be extreme as I am getting satisfactory results anyway. Tomorrow is the end of no sugar and sees the introduction of 85% dark chocolate and 2 glasses of wine once a week if I want them. So low sugar long term. Now I am under control I don't want to deny this or that long term. Now just to get the exercise going
The unexpected additional expense with the work the house has skewed my budget massively. I don’t want to touch my emergency fund as this isn’t actually an emergency. There is a little left in the house account but I will need that to pay the squirrel man.
My energy bills were very high so I am not using heating during the day (it comes on as soon as it is dark) and I will be buying a kettle for the hob as my electricity per unit is twice my gas and I am constantly using the kettle.
The only way I can see of working this out is to pay my big energy bill out of my day to day expenses. This leaves me with a fraction of my usual weekly spends allocation.
I am due £100 back into my account for work expenses but I need to buy a chair to work on with that money.
The bottom line is I have less than half of my weekly spends available for the next 3.2 weeks.
There are work drinks tomorrow at work that I will try and dodge. I will also try and do more NSDs.
Wishing you all good daysIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

If you like your hot drinks HOT then i'd think twice about getting one. It was fine for me but was never hot enough for my husband as it isn't actually boiling water, just hot water.
Well, the one we had was like this.Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I was going to list my spends for yesterday but to summarise I spent on fares, YS protein, a bar of 85% chocolate and I spent £4.50 on charity donations and £5 on a leaving gift. A total of £35  which is way too much as my budget is reduced this month due to the over-spend on house repairs.
On the positive side I did not buy any hot drinks and I took lunch to work and ate it in the office.
I did not spend anything at the leaving do last night. I had less than 1/8th of a glass of wine and 4 cashews. (I seem to be able to control myself better now)
I have a cold and feel a bit rough, but I am still going to do stuff today as I have the day off.
I am going to spend an hour gardening the front of the house, do some washing, make some soup and then go to have a coffee somewhere nice and take my decluttering to the CS. Then I will return my library books.
It is so nice to have a day to myself and although it is cold the sun is shining
