My day has been less expensive thank goodness!

Glad that the builder is done.
That seems like a lot extra to me.

Thanks Beanie. There was more to do than initially thought. So I expected an additional few hundred or so, but not £323.00 more

DIA I have to say the builder sounds like it's a good job he has finished. I remember years ago a builder at my marital home saying if I came to see what he was doing one more time he was down tools and wasn't coming back. I hate being in if any DIY is going on , I tend to make sure I am gone all day. I always want to clean up round them if I stay in.

I hope whatever you have applied for comes up trumps for you. There ate so many squirrels around at the moment , way to many I feel your pain at keep having to get the man back.

    Thanks everyone. :)
The squirrels are getting in by making holes in the fascia boards. I am getting the holes dealt with and they make new ones. Basically this won't be completely resolved until I replace the fascias but it is a big/expensive job. At the moment my house plan prioritises safety (like the dodgy wiring) then making the house weather proof and preventing deterioration (like dealing with wet rot) I won't have the money for new fascias until the Spring when they will all be replaced.

It's good to write this down and be reminded. It might help me stay in my job :)

I am working from home today. So nice not to have deal with the builder today :j

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks Cumbria, I have my fingers crossed. If successful it will be worth £1,500 financially and would be priceless psychologically.

I know some people think squirrels are cute but the balance has been upset and they are far too many now :(

I WFH today and feel so light without the builder here. :j

I had some biscuits left over from having the builder here. I bought them gluten free in case I was tempted. Today I took a small bite. It wasn’t great so I threw them away so the temptation is gone. ;)

    Dishes X3

I made soup today: pumpkin, butterbeans, tomatoes and some good stock.

I made some lovely humous and added in the sun dried tomatoes in basil and olive oil. (£2.80 reduced to 25p :)):money:

I blitzed 2 jars of said sun dried tomatoes into a paste to keep in the fridge :)

I prepped a salad for this evening and another for taking to work tomorrow.

I am not weighing myself but I can feel so many bones in my shoulders and around my neck. Feels strange. I am wearing a dress a size down. It feels like new clothes for free as the dress is new :)

Have a snuggly relaxing evening everyone :)
