WOOOHOOO! A builder well and truly on the horizon... I'm very happy! Fingers will be firmly crossed everything goes well on Wednesday. Well done on asking for a reduction. Also sounds good with the moving the sofa/ cabinet. I love when you have a re-shuffle and things just *feel* better.

Thanks everyone for all the encouraging posts about decluttering, the builder and thank you for the migraine comments too. Hoping tomorrow I wake up migraine free
Curtains changed. I had 2 odd curtains up because it is a back room. After a while I stopped seeing this. Then I did.
Went to Mr S and Mr MnS. I’ve decided to bring back a beauty night and will combine it with movie night. A face pack at the very minimum and a good film.:) I was on the lookout for a DVD player as I have access to loads of them and I also want to start doing exercise DVDs. I found one on sale for £14 in Mr S.:money:
I went to Mr MnS and saw some Datterini tomatoes in olive oil. They are usually £2.80 and were being cleared at 25p. I bought all 13 jars on the shelf. These sort of treats make such a difference to my meals, even the basil olive oil they are in will be used for salad dressing. I also bought smoked salmon for £2.10 reduced from £5
I bought flowers for £3 and some full price chicken legs. Unusual for me to pay full price but no regrets
I just ate a giant smoked salmon salad

Is it worth mentioning to the builder that there will be more work to be done? I don’t want to be cold and tonight it is chilly.
So, the electric blanket is now under the sheet and will be used for the first time tonight. I will be buying a backup hot water bottle. When I get paid I will be buying some cashmere fingerless gloves from a company that uses recycled cashmere. I have my eye on some slippers but they are expensive so I will be waiting until the Winter sale and hope I can buy them then. I’m going to look out for thermal leggings.
I have eaten chicken, lentils, chard, cauliflower and quinoa with red beans today. My breakfast was eggs and smoked salmon. All healthy stuff. A good off shoot of not eating simple sugar is my taste for salt has also reduced naturally, not sure why. Better for my health and blood pressure so all good.
Tonight I am missing wine and plant milks but I don’t have cravings like I had when I started this way of eating at the end of September. I’m doing well with my food and absolute rubbish with exercise and activity. Hairyhand is making me rethink Pilates as there is a class on Thursday that I haven’t even tried
I know I am changing because although the builder coming makes me feel slightly anxious I am also excited to think the work will be done.;)

A difficult day. I WFH and also oversaw the building work.
The initial outside work will be more than expected. He showed me why and worked out a plan of action that I agree with but my trust is so seriously lacking that despite photos I had to go up the ladder to feel the wood rot. I have never been up a ladder so high up so pleased with myself for going so far out of my comfort zone.
It will cost me more than I thought but I am glad the problem has been identified
It is still hard for me to work with him as I felt anxious, to the extent that I haven’t eaten all day and I have an upset tummy. But I did it.;)
I spent my lunch break cleaning the mirrors in my room and all the glass in the patio doors.
He is still here but will be gone soon. Tomorrow he will back and this is pattern for the rest of the week so hopefully my nerves will lessen.
Soon I will be able to breathe out, light a candle and eat something light, probably scrambled eggs and my YS smoked salmon.
I hope you all had good days and if not there is probably tomorrowIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
