  • I do a lot of snacking on nuts, but then I rarely eat actual plated meals so the calories even out. I find that having a measured portion in a pretty small bowl works well but if I have the open packet on my desk I eat them all.

Yum to nice food though, I was reading something about changing your mindset to only eating things you actually enjoy, and making every mouthful taste which resonated with me.

Hope you find some boots, I ended up in a big Go Outdoors to find ones that fit my narrow feet and heels, but they do the job perfectly.

I think nuts are are a good snack food. I notice when I portion them out I am better.
I am only eating food I like. Sounds obvious but years of surviving on YS food distorted my likes and dislikes.
I'll look at Go Outdoors when I go shopping for boots tomorrow. Thanks for the headsup

Yesterday was lost to the dreaded migraine. :( It is still here today but it is like a shadow migraine, much, much, less. On the upside I had a NSD.

Today I should be WFH but my boss said logging on this afternoon is fine. I am thankful for that. :)

My weight has gone down again. I can see a pattern where it appears to stop and then it suddenly goes down noticeably. ;) I am just going to keep on doing what I am doing as it is clearly working. I keep making small changes. I am stopping plant milks as they are so expensive (for good ones without gums and fillers) I only have them in black tea but don’t need them. I am defaulting to a green smoky tea that is delicious but expensive, but if I stop milk it will even out.

The builder has contacted me with a quote! :j:j

I have a few questions so will talk to him tomorrow but it is fine so hopefully that work can be done before the weather is against us.

This morning I have done some washing that is drying and I will spend the morning pottering.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone :)

Actually I am having a good day thanks Beanie.:)

I worked this afternoon but nothing was too challenging.

The migraine has gone now. I am hoping it does not return during the night as per the last few days.

The upside of migraine is it slows you down. During the slow pottering I could see things more clearly. For instance my water filter has mildew! I have binned it and will use tap water. And my living room was over cluttered with furniture. I have 2 sofas in quite a small room. I thought I could move one of the sofas to the dining room as I seem to spend most of my time in there.

The last stage of a migraine disappearing is an energy surge. I used this energy surge to move the sofa by myself into another room, (not easy to do alone). I also moved a cabinet.

Everything looks more balanced and I am happy with my achievements. I also did a whole black bag full of decluttering. Exhausted now, so that is enough for today.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday too.

Woke up with remnants of a migraine from during the night AGAIN  but it is definitely lessening with each day as relatively weak :T

I ate 2 frogs in quick succession. I phoned the builder and queried the quote and also checked when he was available. He has had a cancellation so said this Wednesday! I said I would check with work to stall for time as I felt panicked.

Then I thought the sooner the better and the weather is dry right now so I called back and said yes but I asked for a reduction. (Thank you Homegrown as you suggested to do this a while back and I remembered it was an option) It is only 5% of the total cost but I felt empowered doing it. Hopefully it shows him I am no pushover too. ;)

    So the work starts Wednesday.

I hope he does a good job so I can use him again in future.

    I am feeling optimistic :)

Wishing you all a brilliant start to your week :)
