Thanks Rosa I'll have a look at Go Outdoors. My style comment was tongue in cheek. I will be prioritising fit and trying on lots of different boots.
Thanks Cumbria Without divulging the size of my ahem big feet I can confidently say I am not a size 6 but thank you for the offer. :A
Today I woke up with a headache. I am assuming that is because I have altered my diet so drastically. I am having a coffee, something I will NEVER give up
Busy today. Car to be cleaned, shopping, find the recycling centre and getting rid of garden waste. If time left going to another shopping centre to look for walking boots.
Wishing you all a fab start to your weeks

Washing up, dry, pack away X1, X1
Purchased a kitchen caddy and compostable bags as starting food recycling. Ready to go now
Car cleaned on the outside (need to do this myself as it wasn’t a good job again )
Shopped for food. I walked down the crisp aisle accidentally and kept my head down so I couldn’t see any and did not venture into the chocolate aisle. It’s weird when no sugar or alcohol is being looked for. It feels like I came away without a ‘treat’ but I am treating my health.
I have a rubbish bathroom so a relaxing bath isn’t an option. I will be tidying the space I sit in and using fairy lights a candle and a hot water bottle to comfort myself
Prepped turkey legs and root veggies. Will put on tomorrow as WFH
Went to IKE3, found a chair. It is ergonomic and £110 but it has a 10 year guarantee and it was the most comfortable. I will go buy it on my next day off.
I did not make it to the recycling centre so the plan is to go there before work tomorrow.
I did not make it to the shops to look for walking boots either. I’ll do that on my next day off
I hope you all had a successful day

Well done on avoiding sugar DIA. I've tried it and found it soooo difficult because sugar is in everything. It's in wine you know. Yes, even the dry kind

I haven't drunk coffee since I had pneumonia this year. I just went completely off it and thought I'd might as well carry on. I do feel better for giving it up.

My old boss used to be sugar free and without doing anything else dropped about 3 stone. It's something I'd like to do for the health benefits but not sure it's a long term thing I'd be able to do. I like that you can choose the level of sugar-free to go, as I wouldn't be able to cut out all fruit and carbs etc. A good learning curve though!Sealed Pot Challenge 075

I went to Pilates last night and someone pointed out that weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise. Exercise is needed for toning though...0

It is Fortune and it is a simple sugar so none for me until my blood sugar is under control when I will partake of very dry fizz occasionally.Fortune_Smiles wrote: »Well done on avoiding sugar DIA. I've tried it and found it soooo difficult because sugar is in everything. It's in wine you know.
Homegrown it is the tropical or equatorial fruits (to be precise) that are an issue. Very strict sugar free is no fruit at all but apples and berries are low sugar and do not seem to spike my sugars so sticking with them. I wouldn't want a diet with no fruits at all. Likewise simple carbs no but small quantities of complex carbs (like a few spoons of quinoa) seem okay.Homegrown0 wrote: »My old boss used to be sugar free and without doing anything else dropped about 3 stone. I agree. I start a class that combines yoga and pilates on Thursday. I will let you know how I found itI went to Pilates last night and someone pointed out that weight loss is 80% food and 20% exercise. Exercise is needed for toning though...

I have the builder who was away coming today. I called today and he said he could come today and I suggested a day next week. Then I called back and said today is fine. So what if the house is a mess. Getting the work done is more important than my pride/anxiety. I am really hoping it works out with him. I got a good vibe on the phone and he comes recommended. Unless the quote is ridiculous I will go with him. I don’t mind paying a little more if necessary if he will do a good job and he is good to work with.
I am starting NSDs again and I am trying to keep my discretionary spends very low so I can boost my account for work on the house.
Today is 1/31 NSD
Sugar wise. I think I might be through the worst few days. Yesterday I slept like a log and woke up without a roaring appetite. My jeans fit differently and there appears to be less bulk around my middle. ALREADY. I will definitely keep going. I still miss chocolate, but not as much. I also feel a little brighter but I might be imagining that.
I keep throwing things away because they have sugar and I didn’t realise. So yesterday, tomato sauce, some lovely pickles and a pineapple salsa were dumped. I have a pepper sauce with 0.3 grams of sugar per 100grams and I am keeping that!
I have pot roasted 2 giant turkey drumsticks to eat with cauliflower rice and loads of garlic greens later. Yum.
Wishing you all a fab day

Maybe inviting a builder at short notice was not such a good idea. Feeling a bit sick and nervy. Trying not to cancel

Don't worry. Builders have seen worse. ANd they'll make the mess worse.0
