Thanks everyone.HairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »Good luck with your fundraising walk tomorrow.
The walk went well. We did the memory walk and raised £900 for dementia. :j I'm pleased with that. I didn't have my walking boots or a waterproof jacket. For future walks I want to be better kitted out. But hey ho, I did it and that was the most important thing.
I have seasoned turkey and veggies in my dutch oven cooking away.
Washing on and cleaning/decluttering/sorting being targeted.
Work have come back to me and offered me a 4 month sabbatical.
I am accepting this so from the end of November and back to work April 2019. I am happy with this so will stay in my job at least from April--December 2019 so I can carry on doing jobs on the house.
Longer term it is good to know I have options
Tomorrow a window surveyor comes to measure so I can get a quote.
Going to pop to the supermarket for YS protein and fruit and veg and coffee
Happy Sunday everyone

Beanie, Greenbee, Cumbria and Rosa. Thank you for the good wishes about the sabbatical and the charity walk everyone.
Today I woke feeling nervy about the window surveyor's visit but he has been and gone and I already feel calmer.
Yesterday I stayed home and didn't go to the shops, claiming a NSD instead. I kept to my list of things to do but today despite having a million things to do my head feels all over the place so going to stop doing what needs to be done, treat myself to a coffee, where I will write a list and get organised by using my bullet journal
Wishing you all a positive start to the week

A good day off. I am glad I abandoned my schedule and went off script

I went to a coffee shop for a free coffee and I finished reading The Blood Sugar Diet. I will carry on with what I am doing as it is very similar. When I stop getting results I will go back to the book. The book recommends 10,000 steps. There is a website that gives you the miles covered from walking a particular route and the number of steps taken. I thought I had walked loads. In fact I only did 4,500 steps. Shows how inactive I have become
I looked up the route that gives me 10,000 steps there and back. I will do it next on Thursday morning
I bought some hiking socks in TKM3XX. They were reduced from £12.99 to £2.99. I can’t believe they make such a difference when walking. I love them already
I made an appointment to set up the savings accounts pots I need to become better organised
I went to my fave CS. I bought a cast iron tagine with a white ceramic cone lid. It was brand new in its box. The price was £68. I paid £10. Really pleased with that. There was a set of beautiful china cups but I resisted those
I hope you had a nice day too

Sounds like a productive day DIA.
I went for coffee and resisted cake (and the biscuit that came with the coffee). My fitbit tells me I have only done 3500 steps today (my target is 12000) and this has been going on for a while. It's harder as the days get shorter, but that's no excuse. I do have a HIIT Pilates session tonight, and another tomorrow, and plenty of time to run tomorrow and Wednesday too, so I need to make myself go out.0 -
Sounds like a good day off DIA and congratulations on the four month sabbatical. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
