  • Your food sounds so lovely that I want to come and eat at your house, some of my favourite foods :).

Well done on starting on the project. I agree with starting small. The hardest thing is starting, so if you just spend five minutes on it then you have started. It is then much easier to carry on. Often once you start you get into it and once your head is in the right place you often enjoy it and wonder why you were having trouble starting in the first place, if you see what I mean :).

Sounds like a much better day - do you find getting up straight away helps?

I'm chief procrastinator in our house so always looking for ways to minimise procrastination.

Your food today sounds delish! What soup did you make? Tomorrow I'm making curried parsnip, apple and carrot soup for lunches in the early part of the week. Looking forward to it actually!
Thanks Homegrown. I find getting up straight away stops me going over negative stuff in my head when I am in an 'off centre' frame of mind.

The soup I made was just leeks, potatoes, carrot and courgette...a mishmash really, but a bit of toasted curry powder and some great stock and it was delicious :)

Like you (and INOD actually) I am a huge fan of soup generally...enjoy your lunches :)

Thanks HH, This is exactly what I find to be true. I can't wait to be in the 'heading the right place' stage :)

Home made houmous sounds good (as do the flatbreads) - any special recipe you use
No special recipe. I just experiment with whatever flours and seeds I have. So this was a mixture of coconut and sprouted buckwheat flours. I added the poppyseed to the batter and fired in coconut oil.

Ok, so I slept well and got up straight away. A good start.

I’ve got the windows open today despite the cold as it feels like the house needs airing.

I did a few minutes yoga this morning (and I do mean a few minutes :rotfl:) will return to this at bedtime.

A NSD weekend for me. Two in a row. I haven’t done that for a very long time.

After buying myself some clothes I have £30 in my account. I bought 2 of the same item in difference sizes so eventually there will be another £100 in my account once I return an item. All the same, £130 to get me through the month won’t be a doddle.

I don’t seem to ever get to the end of the drudge. I cook from scratch so there is an ever ending stream of dishes. No microwave so more dishes heating up. I am so bored of dirty dishes. I cleaned the fridge out. I prepped veggies and made a veggie/chicken tray grill for lunch.

Living room and kitchen should be sorted by the end of the day.

Going for an hour’s work today. It isn’t a lot but it is Sunday so hey ho.

My treat of the day (as I am feeling meh) will be exfoliating and a face mask. Tomorrow I will do my eyebrows for £4. That should help.

I hope your Sunday is going well

A microwave needn't be expensive if you want one?

Thanks Rosa, but no it isn't a cost issue. I don't choose to have one and that is fine but it creates more dishes. The answer is a dishwasher for me but I don't have the space in the current kitchen so that is a future purchase :)

I'm so behind on your diary! I'll get my washing up done :o and then spend some time catching up. I want to read it all for a proper catch up.

Have you looked at the tabletop ones? I keep dithering about it but I cook much less than you and decided it isn't really justified.

I don't have any surfaces for a tabletop dishwasher unfortunately...
