    I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.

happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy
  • A rubbishy day for me :(

I did not get to yoga. :( I couldn’t get going. I also discovered that although I have a yoga mat I do not have a sports bra. I’ve not given up, but for now I will be doing my own thing. I found Adrianne so for now I will be doing her ‘class’ starting with 15 minuses in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening...

I forced myself out in the hope of getting over myself. I walked, but only 1 mile.:o

    Spent £4.20 on fares
Picked up a book whilst decluttering to Oxfam for £4
I picked up posh chocs in a moment of madness but swapped them for 2 mini bars of G&B £1.70
I picked up a bottle of wine but swapped it for some nice tonic water £1.69
I weakened and bought crisps £1.33

Hmm £12.92 in total. This wasn’t my finest hour but it could have been worse.

I checked for the scarf and cardigan I wanted. Scarf, Cardigan/coat, gloves, and a throw all purchased. The coat/cardigan was £215 and I got it for £100 and all items were 50 or 60% reduced. Still expensive but hopefully the quality will make the items if costed per wear worth it.;)

The sad thing is the purchases made me feel better. I did not think I was particularly materialistic but I do like nice things more than I care to admit. I hope to remember that when I am eating scrambled eggs and baked beans for the rest of the month...

Onwards and upwards! I have to get some work done tomorrow! Procrastinating is tiring. I will make tomorrow a better day

I hope your end of week is positive and if not well you made it to the weekend :T
I wouldn't think you'd need a sports bra for yoga, because you're not jumping around or running, just stretching mainly.

Well done for swopping chocolate and wine for healthier options :T. A mile walked is a lot better than nothing too :T.

I love buying quality clothes as well and I actually think it's MSE because they will last for years and years. I always feel happy when I buy new clothes too because I love being well dressed, but I don't think that makes me materialistic.

And scrambled eggs and baked beans are a very nutritious and tasty meal :rotfl:.

Quality clothes that you wear for longer and more often are ecologically sound as well as good cost per wear.

Besides, you're allowed nice things! It's your own budget and only you can decide your priorities.

well done for getting anything done at all when the odds were obviously against you today - but as a serial procrastinator you do need to start (whatever you call starting) unless you want to get very stressed later
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long

It is my budget and I'd already decided that my priority is house repairs so I was a little off there. Also I do like to be mindful with my spending when I can :)
Totally agree on buying good stuff less often, something I've always done.

OK, so yesterday was pants but today I got up straight away :)

I have no alcohol, no chocolate, no crisps and no snacks apart from healthy ones like apples.

On the upside I have good coffee.:T

I made some red pepper humous (came out lovely) and I am making sprouted buckwheat and coconut flatbreads with blue poppyseed. They too have come out well. I will use some as wraps and I will be grilling one and topping with sheep’s cheese and sun-dried tomatoes and soft stem broccoli. Yum but with a salad quite healthy really…:)

In better news I have begun ‘the project’ I cancelled a social visit to stay home. I have only done an hour but a start is a start. (Mark88 you are right about the stress involved in procrastination) I will be back later to give my day’s total. I am aiming for 3 hours. The secret seems to be start small and do other bits and pieces but keep going back to it. I don’t need to panic. It is January 5th. I have until April to deliver. ;)

Off to get a bowl of soup. I made it yesterday and it is good soup.

Reading back I can see I am food obsessed today. Ah well, there are worse obsessions.

    Happy Saturday everyone :)

Its all swings and roundabounts - but great to see today has started well.

Home made houmous sounds good (as do the flatbreads) - any special recipe you use

Sounds like a much better day - do you find getting up straight away helps?

I'm chief procrastinator in our house so always looking for ways to minimise procrastination.

Your food today sounds delish! What soup did you make? Tomorrow I'm making curried parsnip, apple and carrot soup for lunches in the early part of the week. Looking forward to it actually!
