Feeling a bit meh today. Not sure why, but the light is awful. Could that be it? It is dreary out, so the lights are on indoors. It might be the second window payment due today. I have it. I just get a bit anxious dealing with large sums of money…:o

Today I walked 3 miles. I went to the library but it was closed. I’ll try again on Friday.

I bought headphones for £7. The plan is to use them with my mobile phone and take a one hour walk every day whilst listening to Woman’s Hour.

FROG: I went to the opticians and booked an eye test for Friday. It will cost £25. I’ve put it off for ages, not so much the cost as I get that back from work, but because I know my eyes have been deteriorating and I find it depressing. :(

The cheap grater from Wilk0s was as much use as a chocolate teapot so I threw it away and replaced it at a cost of £6. That is why I dislike buying cheaply, it often results in paying twice.

I had a free coffee out. So, despite being careful I have still spent £13. Ah well, I needed both things.

I checked my finances and I was delighted to discover the small weekly savings into my credit account now add up to £200 so this will be added to and used for my MOT and any additional work required next month. :T

There are other frogs that need eating tomorrow but I can feel myself already winding down as it gets darker.

I hope to be perkier tomorrow.
I hope you had a good day :)

Yes, you Scottish are a lot more egalitarian than the English in many ways...

Ouch to the optician costs, although your eyes are important so £25 well spent when it comes.

Glad to see your credit union savings totting up and even better that it'll save you having to find money for the MOT from somewhere else. There's something to be said for money siphoned away for a rainy day :)

I knew I was slumping a bit yesterday but today I feel it more. :(

I’ve not yet settled into my work. :(

I’m cutting TV drastically as it is sucking up my time. I’m more ‘up’ when I listen to podcasts, read and listen to the radio. So the TV will not go on today at all

I’m trying to push on regardless of my mood and one of the things I’m going to stick to will be a daily walk. So, I’ll do a 3 mile walk today and pick up a library book reserved for me.

Ald1 has a yoga mat I’m going to look for as there is a class tomorrow I am keen to start, even if the class is rubbish at least I will stretch my body. The class is free and is daytime and only an hour so meets all my criteria. I have no excuses not to go!

I can’t find the serial number on my typewriter to order a new ribbon! Frustrating!

My last batch of soup was souper good (see what I did there :))so I defrosted some stock and will make a new batch. I have a salmon salad for tonight to go with the soup.

    It’s getting colder!

Off to wrap up and start walking…

    Wishing you a good day

OK, so walk done, library book collected. :T

If anyone needs a yoga mat go to Ald1 as they have a good and very long mat with a carrier for £5. :money: MnS has one for £30. Why? They are both strips of foamy rubbish fabric. I also picked up small kettlebells again for £5 each. :money: I’m going to begin exercising at home. I have a trunk to hide the equipment in. The plan is to do reps whilst watching rubbish TV (on the days that I do).

I will be starting with squats, press-ups, bicep curls, overhead extensions and tricep dips in the evening. That is a 25 minute routine to start with. I will be using a 5 minute timer for each exercise. I’m making this up as I go along but the plan is to create something I can keep to. I will never pay for a gym contract again :money:

Now I have a yoga mat I want to try salutations to the sun in the morning.

Reading HH’s diary I realise what I need is a routine and I suppose this is my attempt to create one.

I am starting small but I am looking forward to Michelle Obama arms by the summer. :D

I love yoga and pilates, so I'm sure you'll find the yoga very soothing, although it can be a bit of a killer at first. But if it makes your muscles ache then it's making them stronger, is what I tell myself :rotfl:. Kettle bells will be good for toning your arms (and so will yoga).

You're doing well on the walks, I bet it's helping with your anxiety and helping you to sleep better.

I do think a routine can be the saving of anxious people. I plan my week ahead and write to do lists in advance, because empty days and hours make me anxious at the moment :o.

You are so right HH. I do find all this 'free' time unsettling. I need to get my project work underway. Thanks HH

A rubbishy day for me :(

I did not get to yoga. :( I couldn’t get going. I also discovered that although I have a yoga mat I do not have a sports bra. I’ve not given up, but for now I will be doing my own thing. I found Adrianne so for now I will be doing her ‘class’ starting with 15 minuses in the morning and 15 minutes in the evening...

I forced myself out in the hope of getting over myself. I walked, but only 1 mile.:o

    Spent £4.20 on fares
Picked up a book whilst decluttering to Oxfam for £4
I picked up posh chocs in a moment of madness but swapped them for 2 mini bars of G&B £1.70
I picked up a bottle of wine but swapped it for some nice tonic water £1.69
I weakened and bought crisps £1.33

Hmm £12.92 in total. This wasn’t my finest hour but it could have been worse.

I checked for the scarf and cardigan I wanted. Scarf, Cardigan/coat, gloves, and a throw all purchased. The coat/cardigan was £215 and I got it for £100 and all items were 50 or 60% reduced. Still expensive but hopefully the quality will make the items if costed per wear worth it.;)

The sad thing is the purchases made me feel better. I did not think I was particularly materialistic but I do like nice things more than I care to admit. I hope to remember that when I am eating scrambled eggs and baked beans for the rest of the month...

Onwards and upwards! I have to get some work done tomorrow! Procrastinating is tiring. I will make tomorrow a better day

I hope your end of week is positive and if not well you made it to the weekend :T
