  • It was a good idea to get out of the house. My work went well :T at last.

I also managed to write a letter to my friend in Oz and get it posted too.

I bought a book in the charity shop. Whoops.

The plan for tomorrow is to stay home now I have got going with my project. I am actually looking forward to doing it again tomorrow. I will prep the room so I can start immediately on waking. Tomorrow will also be a NSD.

I wore my new coat/scarf out today and I noticed I got very good reactions from people, probably because I felt good. I even had a few men smiling at me and saying hello and I smiled and said hello right back. Just shows looking better makes me feel better :)

Tomorrow I will do a walk but the focus will be on work and I don't mind that at all.

I hope you had a good day too :)

A new environment can be good for clearing the head and motivating you, well done for getting going :T.

I also agree that nice clothes make you feel good and when you feel good you can move mountains :T. This is why my spending nemesis is clothes :o.

Thanks HH and Rosa for your helpful comments :)
I do think investment clothes make sense for the purse, the planet and for me to feel and look less shabby. I will keep shopping this way.

A poor night’s sleep last night full of scary dreams. I even decided to drive after drinking champagne because I was too wimpy to tell my sister I couldn’t give her a lift. I woke feeling guilty and then cross at my sister for encouraging me. Is it okay to be cross with someone for something they did in a dream? :rotfl:

Clothes washed but not dried as the weather is damp.

My fortnightly veggies box arrives tomorrow so I made a beef and veggie chilli to use up the butternut squash. I made quinoa too and froze 2 containers with half and half of each so I have 2 ready meals for days when I am in a CBA mood.

I’m in the mood for junk food so I’m making spicy grilled chicken thighs with a finely cut up potato that I will add to the grill and pretend they are French fries.

I’ll be working well into the evening today as I haven’t achieved much today work wise. :o

That said I am working in a clean, decluttered, tidy room and there are very few dishes so the displacement and procrastination is a plus in some areas :)

Wishing you all a lovely evening

I did poorly with my work yesterday so today I am going to the library. I need to renew my book but I also want to see if I can work from the study room.
It is near a coffee shop so I can switch between the two maybe?
It is cold and I don't like to use heating during the day so it will be nice to work somewhere warm :)
I have to walk there so it gets my walk accomplished too (3 miles there and back)

I will also take my parcel back to the PO on route.

I am packing a lunch and taking it with me so I don't need to spend on food although today will not be a NSD as I need coffee and some more fruit.

My veggie box came today. It is all good fresh veggies. It is working as I am thinking of veggie/vegan meals to use up the veggies.
I think I will make veggie burgers today and have them with tahini sauce and a big salad.
I will also make a soup, just general veggie soup.

Reading Cumbria's diary where she is starting to use the library reminded me it was Beanie's persistence that got me back to the library too.
I vote beanie in as Minister for Libraries!
Have a good day everyone! We all made it to the end of the week :)

  • Like the library/coffee shop logic. Happy Friday, hope you have a good day too
  • Beanie would make an excellent Minister For Libraries :rotfl:.

I hope working in the library/coffee shop (or both) helped you to get lots of work done. I can see that there would be less distractions, so if it enables you to get work done then I would say it's worth the expenditure on coffee. Plus you get your walk in so it's win win :T.

Although it's probably cheaper to put the heating on all day that pay for a coffee...

however, I haven't left the house all day and as a result haven't had any exercise. So library and coffee shop might have been a better option for me!

A dark day so lights on during the day again. I hate the gloom :(

Yesterday went well. Thanks beanie, redo, HH, and greenbee, the coffee shop/library logic worked a treat. I must remember to leave the house when work isn’t flowing. I was lucky in the library as I found a desk to work from. I was so settled I did not use the coffee shop at all. So, several solid hours of work achieved! :T

I am happy to report a 3 mile walk yesterday. I had a sore knee due to inflammation but I still walked. Today it is better, so sometimes pushing through and not resting is the best thing to do. ;)

I like that it is possible to do niggly tasks on the way to the library as it is near shops and the post office. This might turn into a routine.

I will be having a NSD today. 6/15 so on track. :T

I am starting to get nervous about the window work on Monday so I will keep busy today so my thoughts don’t escalate. :o

I will go for a walk at some stage.

I will make some veggie soup. Making soup always balances me out, I can always freeze extras. Might try the veggie burgers that I keep thinking of making but never do.

    Have a good Saturday everyone

Working out of non traditional spaces (home/office) is quite the thing these days. Planes, trains, automabiles, offee shops, hotel lobbies, etc I've done them all. Although not a library actually!! Must try harder
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
