Fantastic news about the award! Getting the window done sounds like a great idea and congratulations on managing to negotiate the price down.
Again I love the angst and action list and will be thieving the idea to use myself. I have a number of angsts and need to figure out some actions. This will be a task for tomorrow for me. Thank you for the motivationTotal Debt : ?? / ??0 -

@greenbee, @HH, @plonter, @redo, thank you for your good wishes
@lonelyrat, thank you and I hope the angst and action list works for you. It does me
@INOD, thank you and such a good point about the stopcock being covered by the costs of not being at home and spending. I will offset against saved living costs
@homegrown and @beanielou. I would love a mini meetup and coffee :j
I posted a few postcards through neighbour’s doors and bought a paper. A few in the postbox too. There was a time I bought a paper every week but now I rarely do. Reading them online there are too may adverts so I treated myself today.
I cooked some beans
I cooked some turkey wings
I am making veggie, lentil and bean soup today
I washed a rug. It is windy today so it may dry if I put it outside.
I ordered some more clothes after the last lot were unsuitable. They were all greatly reduced so I hope something is suitable as I need a few new clothes.
I took the best bouquet of flowers to my neighbour but she had died! The funeral was yesterday but her husband had not let me know. When I went there her daughter was there and said her mother had been a difficult woman and I said we had our ups and downs but she had been good to me in the past. She took my bouquet to take to the cemetery. They seemed to appreciate I had come.

I am going to make an effort not to drink much alcohol, or have simple sugars. I can feel the pounds creeping back on. Also drink makes me feel sluggish and crave sugar. I need to be sharp over the next few months and neither booze nor sugar give me energy. The next time I will be with friends who drink will be 19th December. So, 1/10 AF/SF days start today. Signature updated. I had this realisation whilst waiting in the queue at Waitr0se with a ‘free’ paper, a bar of chocolate and a bottle of wine. I put them all back and walked away…
I still feel edgy. Once the joy about the residential prize had worn off, underneath was edginess. I don’t like it. I don’t have a plumber yet either.
The next buying-the-window meeting is tomorrow when I sign and pay my deposit. Once that is over I might feel a bit better. Let’s hope so.
I had a 49p filter coffee in Pr3t today using my own cup. :money: I am happy to have one of these whenever I am out. Even if I do this 5Xs a week (which I won’t) that is still only £2.50. The coffee isn’t great but neither is the £2.30 coffee, but I can sit down and relax and reflect, so it will do.;)

I agree about alcohol making you sluggish and craving sugar. Sugar also makes me crave more sugar and feel sluggish
.
I hope some of the clothes fit.
It's a good idea to sign and pay the deposit for the window, then you can have a useable room and be ready for the lady decorator. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
