I can't find the link. I've been searching Ebay but I can't find them. The seller had a gallery picture of a women on a beach wearing a red costume.
It looks like JHP is correct so no use what so ever for internet connections.

Have a look here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=590072; I am on the 3 deal and have posted my speed results and comments.
Can you post the link for the 3 sim card that states this because I have found loads for Vodafone and they state you buy the sim card and have to pay £1 per day for 0.5MB allowance.
Hi,
Just to clarify how this works. It's called the daily rate. You only get charged if you actually use the internet on that day, it's not a standard every day charge for an allowance.
With daily rate you use the internet like you would normally and get charged the equivalent rate of £2.00 per megabyte. However, as soon as your charges hit £1.00 which is around 0.5 megabytes, we stop charging you up to 15 megabytes. So you get up to 15mb for only £1.00. After the 15mb is all used up in that day, presuming you do manage to get past 15 megabytes, we charge you the normal rate of £2.00 per mb after that. Daily rate would then start again the next day and applies once for each day you use the internet.
If you use less than £1.00 worth of data, so less than 0.5mb then you're charged the equivalent amount. For example if you only use 0.25mb you'll be charged only 50p.
You can get more information on the Vodafone website if you click here.
Hope this has helped.

Well the extension made a difference of sorts. The modem is actually hanging out of the window & I'm pretty sure it's as good as it gets.
Speeds have been up to 886 but they are far from consistent...they often drop to under 100k & fairly frequently stick on 0 or.3 for a minute or so.
Interesting that somebody eles max wa 886...considering it's supposed to be a 2.8Mb service
I've decided I'll stick with it as at least I can get a few downloads done while it is running at 800k & I'm not in a position to put a phoneline in where I'm staying.
Thanks for your advice & comments.

I am also thinking of using this 3G broadband gadget, as I cannot receive Broadband via my landline. Too far away from the exchange. I don't want to sign up for a 18month contract, if it does not work that well. Have you received any improvements on this product now?0

Anyone else using 3G Mobile Broadband. I am about to sign up, as it looks like my only way of getting broadband where I live. But want to make sure it works well first.0

Where do you live?
Check on 3's coverage checker to see if you are in a strong "Turbo" area, I think 3 are always improving their coverage for this so hopefully it will get better.
Even though I connect at full HSDPA strength I never hit the connection speed of 3.6MB; the highest I have achieved is just over 1MB, which is fine for web browsing and emails.0 -
According to 3's small print I've had it too long to just send it back, but there must be some sort of comeback when I'm committed to paying £25 per month for something I'm not getting. I'll have a think about my next move.
I am considering taking out a 24 month contract but I am worried that I may not get a good connection speed. How long do you have to take it back according to the small print?0 -
I just received my 3 bill and it states for last month I only used 246MB of my 3GB allocation, which seems a bit low.0
