I remember you saying about this when it happened, and since then took your advice, and have a cloth in the car to remove the 'ring-mark' off the windscreen when taking the sat-nav off.
    A very useful tip.

If you're having trouble locating a Currys with this in stock, you may still be able to get it....
Currys tend to make their price reductions on a Sunday, with Pcworld making the same reductions on the following Thursday.
So there is a chance if you click on this link on Thursday, the price might be the same (worth a try) http://www.pcworld.co.uk/product.php?sku=205208
There are also reports that Pcworld will price match Currys at this price, if you take in a screen-print off the Currys website.
How true this is, i'm not sure, and guess will be down to the store management decision.

    Another top tip...

Never put your home address on the sat nav unit choose a few streets away as your "Home" setting otherwise theives will drive straight to your door !
  • Brought a Navman 520i bout 2 years ago and found it rubbish. Took me round in circles. Took it back and it put me off satnavs.

But last week a friend brought a Tom Tom from Tescos for 140 quid and threw the box at me. Great I thoought. But what a suprise it was fantastic.
It could be use straight away and easily found a signal on the move. Would recommend.

This is the 210 model and has the latest SiRFStar III Chipset, it will also run Tom Tom software, I don't think you can go wrong for £60 (thats if you can get one)
I took mine for a test run tonight, worked a treat,
Its got extras like points of interest and a photo viewer from SD card.
No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT3
  • Bought one of these a few months ago. Now under £90 with free delivery (on saver rate, comes as quick anyway).

It is excellent. As one punter described it, better than the factory fitted unit in his Merc costing mega-bucks.

It has 3.5" touch screen and loads of features you'd only expect to find on some of the so-called big names.

All other software, foreign country maps, cameras etc can all be downloaded.
    Top product
The bankers stole my pension (and everyone else's). It should have earned a lot of money, but they took their bonus pot first.
