after failing with the 15% off code, I tried my luck with the £25 off code

got a call from lxdirect today saying that all codes obtained via internet are invalid and that "they had been having a problem with a lot of orders trying to use these codes".

I assume they are now checking every order that has a code to make sure that the code was actually sent to the person using it.

So ... I asked the order to be put through without the code as the item was still cheaper than anywhere else I'd looked.

Don't stand for it!!

Send it back, I've done the same and they refunded the Item.
They will come and collect or you can even post at the Post Office make sure you get a Proof of Postage label though.

LX Direct are a very overdrawn retail company in my customer service experiences.

Got email this morning from LX confirming my order at reduced price & free p&p.

But like all these things...i will still be twitching until the product is in my grubby mits and the cash out of my account!

just checked my order confirmation email

they have the removed the free P&P code but left on the £25 off code !!

I also called them about the current Barclaycard 10% off anything code ( as I have a barclaycard ) and they said that that particular code is still valid (musy be 1 of the few ... it's XX497 ), they have put a note on my account saying I'm going to ring when I take delivery and that they will backdate the 10% code !

Result !

just had an email through asking me to call them regarding my order....i ordered a phone and used the £25 off voucher and free P&P....not sure what to say ..

any ideas before I call them please??

Yep this happend to me, i ignored the email and still got my stuff!
I would wait a few days and see if your order turns up.

I reccomend you ring them, for example if they tell you none of the codes you used are valid you then have the option to cancel the order. If you don't ring they may just ship your order regardless, and you won't get any of the discount refunded to you. Even if the codes are valid you pay the full amount, and after a while the value of the vouchers should be paid back to you.

I'll wait fo rit to arirve and hope the code gets aplied..dont wanna call them..i thought that a £ and P&P code was valid.....
