Sorry it has taken me so long to reply, they just said that they would let the three other orders that i had used codes on go through but they would not let the order that I was trying to place go through with the code so I cancelled it there and then on the telephone whilst I was talking to her.
The lady said she will tell the 'office' and they will investigate my account.

They've just taken my money for a £25.95 nokia 3510i!
Smooth!
(I've still not had a second email, but if they've taken the money and given the discount, ie. one debit, one credit, I guess they've got to deliver now).0 -

Hi Troj
If you read lxdirect's terms and conditions it says you can only use the code if you were issued it (e.g. off some junkmail or whatever) I'm sad so I checked first!
If https://www.lxdirect.com have covered their back legally under the UK Sale of Goods Act, how do you know other "moneysavingexperts" aren't going to get comeback afterwards? e.g. legal proceedings? I have a background in contract law and this is very dicey territory...
Any thoughts?

So, I ordered a £199 Dyson DC07 Allergy+ yesterday and got the e-mail asking me to contact them.
I used the 20% (XX795) free P&P (XX875) and £25 (ZG7488 ).
So when I phoned they said I've used two codes that can't be used together. They took the £25 off and then said that the free P&P goes with it.
I looked at the T&C's as wellcan I redeem offers online?
Yes any offer we mail to you can be redeemed online. Simply key the promotion code into the box provided on the order form. A promotion code giving discounts/money off an order may be used only once unless specifically stated otherwise. Only the customer selected to receive the order is entitled to use the promotion code. Where you have used a promotion code to obtain a discount off the price of your order, acceptance of this order is conditional on us verifying that the code has been issued to you personally. In the event that the code has not been issued by us to you personally, the price of your order will be adjusted notwithstanding any email confirmation which you receive. Littlewoods Home Shopping Limited reserve the right to alter or withdraw any promotion at any time. All offers redeemable subject to account status.
So has anyone actually seen one of these vouchers and what the small print is on them?
Also, I guess some codes are sent in junk mail and others are sent to existing customers. I was a new customer.
...so not quite the bargain it was going to be. Maybe they check if they are still going to make some money on it as I noticed the big discount retailers (empiredirect etc.) do DC07 for around £150-160.
Cheers

Chris :)
Am I correct in assuming that once you order, they can ammend the order at their discretion before the goods are dispatched? But they cannot correct the order after they dispatch i.e if I payed say £10 for an item with 2 codes as opposed to £15 with 1 code - then they cant take more money out of my account afterwards? :-/
Nick.something missing0 -
I know for a fact they would be able to charge you the full amount before dispatch - they have the right to cancel the order with no questions and refund your money.
After dispatch it's also possible they can demand the money back after all, the purchase itself is entering into a contract with LXdirect and abusing a code is tantamount to breach of contract so they could force you to pay back the cash.
Also, anyone posting these codes might also find themselves in trouble as well (e.g. the website posting them...)
hope this helps!0 -
Can I just say I love you or would that be too much? You have saved me a fortune on Cristmas oh how I love LXDirect!!!0
