Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.
Very tired today, couldn't sleep properly every noise set me on edge, so today will be a quiet one. Today we will:

Have a great day all.

Well it's been a great day here, we also managed shopping with list and a lovely (and funny) 3 mile stroll around another local reservoir - the sun was so warm on our backs I ended up carrying my coat - it felt fabulous. I've also took part in my first ever online class tonight on "Nutrition" was very interesting and FREE. Today has been a day for discoveries - I found youtube on our TV and managed to find "step" classes so they will be great when we're not at gym or out walking, can't wait to give them a go, I loved step classes when I was younger.Goodreads 2025 Challenge :16/75

Evening all
Thanks for starting the thread Purps
Great news on the PPI claims DNMS
Ziggy, your neighbour was so lucky you heard the attempted break in. I hope you / your neighbour have informed the police?
Ally, hope work isn't too much of a mare tonight
Not much done here today as DD turned up with both kids. Baby GS can laugh nowThey all seem a bit poorly again, DD felt sick and cold, says she is probably just tired
I remember how moving the clocks back and forward messes little ones' sleep patterns up - I don't know why they don't just leave them alone!
Anyway, today's achievements, such as they are:
Made scrambled eggs for breakfast today, as we have lots atm, and noticed I wasn't getting hungry and picking throughout the day. I think we have both eaten less in total during the day than we normally do with cereal / porridge for breakfast. Maybe that is the way forward!
Took items to sales unit to restock, brought some of the 'old' unsold stuff back and put away
Posted an ebay item - ebay has gone very quiet for me atm though
Also posted an Easter card with £10 inside to GD1, who is 15 and can choose whether she spends it on an Easter egg or makeup :rotfl:
Quick tidy round, mustdo some proper housework tomorrow
Load of washing, pegged out on line to dry. Now on airer to finish off
Watered newly potted tomato plants, checked other seedlings
Did my hip exercises, which do seem to be helping a bit, though walking is often still painful
All food from home, but not a NSD as I found 2 nice tops in one of the charity shops in town, and I did need some more for summer
Checked banks, updated spreadsheet with spends, bills etc
Did 1 survey, need to get back to this!
Must do better tomorrow!0 -
Morning all, though it's actually goodnight from me as I have got into the habit of taking a nap in the afternoon and then staying up very late. It actually works well for me as I feel at my most creative in the wee small hours!
DNMS, I have had a two day tummy problem too and cancelled seeing my mum, will see her today instead.
I had a huge sack of gravel delivered today to cover the rugs I am using to suppress the weeds out the back. I asked on Facebook for any old rugs people were throwing out and was gifted three, I will ask on free cycle also and hopefully will then have enough to extend far enough to park my car on! It's starting to look better already, I still need to paint the outside of the store but I have paint already from when I did the garden side. I usually tie myself up in knots trying to do stuff in the correct order and then don't do anything but, for this, I have just dived in and I'm glad I have.
I did a *big* Mr T shop today that was smaller than usual even with putting a couple of Easter eggs in the food bank. We still had quite a lot of meat in the freezer so I was mainly stocking up on stuff like dishwasher tablets and cat litter where they don't do the cheap versions at the local one.
I have been busy tonight designing a pack of cards for the cheaper end of the market (I'm trying to cover all bases, it's amazing how having no job focuses the mind!) I was really late getting Easter cards printed but have sold a few, what doesn't sell can be packed away to get a bit of an earlier start next year!
I did a bit of a tidy up in the sitting room today and also broke up a few boxes for recycling, I find it hard to get rid of a good box but they were getting a bit out of hand! I also packed away all the bits and pieces from the craft fair, I didn't sell any of the bunting at all so I will try to sell it on Facebook instead.
I have become a bit of a serial time waster on the Facebook selling pages having said, on impulse, I would buy a dresser and two cushions that I then pulled out of buying. Still, better a time waster than an owner of a dresser and two cushions I don't need!

Thank-you. It was a wee bit easier. Now I can sleep til 5am on Wednesday morning when I'm off for a third day over in the direction of Timbuktu.
* Colleague gave me a can of coke and some sweeties.

 Gave my dad a couple of pieces of mail that had my name/address on so that he can shred them, rather then me buy a replacement shredder
It is possible to buy Shredding Scissors for under £5.
Or you could ask for a shredder on Freecycle. (Link)
Or if your shredder still works but is blunt you can sharpen the "blades" by shredding a sheet of tin foil through it.

Morning all
I have to wait in today for a courier to collect my WeBuyBooks parcel, so no excuse not to do the housework! It is also raining, which will prevent me escaping into the garden :rotfl:
Other than that:
Porridge and HG fruit from freezer for breakfast
Fold dry washing on airer and put away
Check banks and update spreadsheet
Not planning any spends today! I follow one of the monthly challenges, part of which is a (high imho) NSD target, which I always missbecause it suits me to shop several times weekly in small quantities instead of a big weekly shop. Cheaper too, to make use of local markets etc instead of relying on supermarkets - though Aldi Super Six looks good this week!
Parsnip soup for lunch, with more of the olive bread I made a couple of days ago
Stew for dinner, made a huge pot at the weekend. I will freeze any left over today I think!
Check for surveys, though this will NOT stop me from doing the housework!
Definitely more coffee needed before I start the housework though0 -
Ziggy, your neighbour was so lucky you heard the attempted break in. I hope you / your neighbour have informed the police?
We did, although it appears this couple in the car had had a busy night and someone actually got them on CCTV and handed that into Police so let's hope that makes them think twice. I feel for our neighbour because you don't know how is employer feels about it all and whether this will impact on him.

Good Morning All
Today will be a quiet one, no walks planned for today (or climbing walls - imagine a young gazelle and I was the total opposite, didn't help that the wall was easy to mount but dismount was a nightmare and a 6ft drop which I eventually made but only after much laughing and umming and ahhing, anyway with eyes closed I made it and landed on my knees in the mud), still laughing now :rotfl::

Morning folks!
Well I didn't get my appraisal yesterday - apparently it will be today
Sock still going well. I have nearly finished the decreases. I won't work a full foot onto it seeing as it's only a test sock. I'll probably do about 15 rows then start the toe. I'm so excited now to try the real wool. It's been far simpler than I expected. Apart from the two weird holes, it looks spot on
Today I'm on a half day (woohoo) as I am going to a weird fire and drumming night. it's not my normal type of thing but I'm trying to do different things this year.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores, also food at the drumming that's already paid for. - done
- Get a lift home from drumming with friend - done
- Gym/run at lunchtime (appraisal start/finish time dependent)
- Charge phone in work - done
- Bring washing in! - done
- Clean bathrooms - done
- Knitting if time - done
- Cancel Holistrio subscription - I'm not using it. Plus I get charged extra each time cos it's in dollars. - done
