Well done atb xx We all make mistakes, and you've been under a lot of stress recently.

Pleased to hear your interview went well, Jazee.

    Enjoy your visitors, Lame Wolf.

    Grrr to roadworks, Fayolle

Pleased to report a one pound loss at SW, so I am back where I was a fortnight ago. 9.5 lb lost since January. I will be mean with Easter eggs! :) DH unfortunately has not done at all well this week - he hardly ever takes exercise, and that makes it so much more difficult for him :(

And thanks for everyone's posivibes: Rosie has gained her Silver award :D She did really well considering that she was with a group of dogs with whom she hasn't trained for a term, as I can't normally take her on a college Tuesday, but I was asked to bring her today to make it easier for the examiner. Just off to give her a run on the fields now. (In case you're wondering, there are no sheep or other livestock anywhere near: the fields are public open space.)

Fingers crossed Jazee. Hoping interview success spreads over the ether to you!

Oh Natty...I sympathise with you. I'm also putting on rather than losing weight. Easter will definitely not help as I can't resist chocolate :EasterBun

Well done ATB. Nasty meeting out of the way. Sleep well tonight!

Day two of the Easter [STRIKE]torture[/STRIKE] holidays.

Farmed Small off to football club, so had the pleasure of Tiny 1-1 aaallllll day. Fab!

Spend time with your children, they said.
Do things they enjoy, they said.
Cook cupcakes - it will be fun, they said.

Half a bag of flour, pat of butter (previously un-hairy) and one box of eggs on the floor, chocolate-smeared face and sticky fingerprints later, we had 24 perfect chocolate fairy cakes. And I mean perfect. We were both super proud. Tiny tested several (OK, so did I!) and we left them on the cooling rack in the kitchen while we read a new book in the middle room.

All the dogs were asleep in the lounge. Oh yes they were, I swear!

Back into the kitchen 10 minutes later. 9 cupcakes remained. No sign of cake cases, crumbs or dog slobber and in-fact, all three dogs appeared to still be snoozing, but....one of them ate eleven cakes. Silently.

Dizzy... whoever has the round tummy or starts puking up cake is the culprit... This is why we have cats... they tend to not like cake!

Beasties all went straight to sleep tonight.. however we appear to have had a fairy massacre in the bedroom and several tonnes of glitter have been left as a sign of their demise.. why can they not just die elsewhere, do they have no respect for the amount of time it takes to vacuum up their sparkly entrails!!!

My super pretty ring which I was going to have resized next month it just the tiniest bit snug and any bigger I think it might actually fall off.. the vintage Avon one on the other hand almost fits back on the middle finger where it once resided.. that does fall off. I think the whole 22.5lb lost has gone from my hands!!! (Twinkle weighs 24lb!)

My mother came round today.. yes I almost died of shock!

Well done to the slinkies, meeting-survivors, award-winners and job-seekers; it seems to be a better week for many.
I've done quite a lot from my list:
    - went to zumba, remembering to renew my membership while I was there and take a 'new home' to my friend who has just one more zumba and coffee with the little group before relocating to the south coast.
    - Mr N got the spare room and bathroom ready for visitors.
    - did one load of washing
    - wrote Easter cards including a long letter to a friend. Ditto an anniversary and a birthday card.
    - checked and emailed report. Now up to date....until tomorrow's assessment.
    - filled in pay claim forms
    - wrote menu and shopping list for the weekend.
    - looked out flower arranging container I will need for the lilies.
    - printed off and signed a report wanted in paper by a parent.
    - got paperwork ready for next 2 days' assessments.
    - practised a bit of a dance with Mr N
    - ordered some new assessment forms
    - put a load of clothes away
    - continued sorting holiday photos to go in an album
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

    Morning all

Wide awake at 4.15am, up at 5.15 (rather boring explanation for this below). I am going to regret this later, especially as I am on my own today doing two people's jobs.

Things are happening at work. My boss is taking a month off and I am being asked to cover his work. When he comes back I have the opportunity to start studying for promotion for when he eventually retires (he is 66). There is a small possibility that he may not come back after his leave in which case I could be promoted then. All very complicated but if I agree to this it means leaving job no. 2 (which is going to end anyway) and in the short term losing about £300 a month. In the long term we would be better off.

I am not happy at the moment trying to juggle two jobs and I am desperate for a new challenge so it makes sense from that point of view and for our long term financial security. DH also has the opportunity to do more hours and help to make up the short fall so it's not impossible but it will be a challenge.

Anyway - today. Going to cycle to work (ticks slinkiness and scrimpiness boxes). Will hang washing out if it looks reasonable, paid stuff no. 2 later. Going to do beef bourguignon for tea (sounds very posh but isnt).

Glad it all went OK atb x

    Morning all :)

Thanks for having my back yesterday, it made me feel calmer knowing someone was rooting for me! Still some bits of work to do around it today, but in the main we are sorted. Just awaiting the final report and final figures, hopefully will get tomorrow, then we can pay it and move on from it!

I am out all day today, so need to be organised. The day looks like this:

    - School run
    - Post office
    - Pop to shops for wine & flowers for someone
    - Pop to Wilkos for a plant pot (must measure size needed in a mo)
    - Ring friend who is having a bad time
    - Drive to accountant, for approx 2 hours meeting
    - Attend school easter egg hunt
    - Collect kiddies, feed them, then back out to Rainbows

Have also texted myself a list of other bits n bobs to do!

Dizzy - boooo to the cakes being eaten. I'll bet they were yummy too. Huge congrats to your DH xx
YL - Thanks for your support sweetie. Sounds to me from reading your post that deep down you already know what you're going to do, and I would agree wholeheartedly. Great news that DH could pick up some more hours too xx
Piggers - he really is yummy, congrats! Also well done on your continued weight loss xx
Iona - well done on your weight loss and a huge pat on the back for Rosie too xx
LW - Enjoy your furry visitors xx

Right I had better get a shuffle on! Have lovely days all xx

    Morning all.

Dull and wet here so I'm trying to kickstart myself. School run with the many bags and instrument done. DD obliged by getting up early so that we could get in to miss the worse of the traffic queues. I spent the journey home blubbing to the Archers omnibus.

2 bags left the house yesterday - 1 to the cs and the other to a friend's DGD, who apparently will be thrilled with yet more hardly (if ever) worn clothes for her wardrobe.

Bed changed and WM now running. I need to do a small grocery shop later, and fill the car with petrol. Then it's volunteering later this evening.

So now I am going to put the kettle on, try to shake off this headache that has been following me for a couple of days ( not helped by being awake from 3am for the past 3 nights, I'm sure), and clean the ensuite and bedroom.

YL - it sounds like in your mind you know what your plan is. It's good that your DH can get some hours, and hopefully being at just one job might make your life a bit easier. Good luck x

DD1 coming home with small beasty today.. SO I shall have some normality restored in here so I can get on with my decorating and flinging. She has scuppered our plan to go surprise visit his mother today so her mission is complete.. we won't be able to go now until half term in May/June. OH is off Saturday and Monday and the traffic will be insane so we can't go then.

Best go gather up their bears and clothes and pjs and tell Spam for the 1000th time to get dressed! OH is going to take them all home.
