    Evening all

thank you for the listies ladies

Well, it's nice to know there is life after a horrible virus attack. Still a cough and sniffle but generally feeling much more alive today thank goodness. Still had to have an hour's sleep this afternoon though.

Congrats to you and all the family. Hope Mum and babe both doing well.

I had a general walk round, re-home of lots of 'stuff' after the last week and a wipe-over kitchen and bathroom. DH did his best, bless, but tends to leave things where he last used them rather than replace them and only cleans the bits he notices :rotfl:

    Did dailies
Checked bank accounts and did monies shuffle
Helped DH with renewal form for licence
Dusted all through apart from LR
    Sorted last week's paperwork
Shopping list done for tomorrow for DH

Have ordered the legs and boarding for DH to do DSD's loft floor. He's picking them up tomorrow and hoping to make a good start on it.

If it's gone I've done it or we don't have one

Mondays are Marvellous!! - Kitchen and Dining Area
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Wipe the table
    Degunge the fridge
Wipe the units and large appliances
    Extras
    Polish
    S&S the hob & oven

Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed
Hope you all have a great Tuesday

One rather cute little grandbeast... who was very nearly born in the hospital foyer..

:hello: Welcome to the world, Jasper! Definitely one cute little piglet. Congratulations to all concerned :T:T

    (((Hugs))) to dancemum x

Good to hear you're feeling better, lynne.

Hi froddy  - sounds like you had a great time at the concert!

Glad you've had a nice restful day, Jojo.

Honey Bear, I meant to say I'm glad you had a nice snuggle with Idiot Cat yesterday.

Posivibes to Lame Wolf, Roundtuit, YL and anyone else in need.

I didn't wake up until very late this morning because, although my migraine came back yesterday evening, I fell asleep before I remembered to take any tablets; then I woke up at 3.00 having had a sort-of nightmare and still feeling very grotty, so took the tablets then with a cuppa, curled up on the sofa and slept solidly until 9.45

However, I have had a productive day:
    - wiped down all kitchen surfaces, small appliances, windowsill, etc.
    - cleaned the sink and hob
    - sorted out my pile of papers and post and insisted that DH dealt with his
    - DH hoovered, I steam-mopped the kitchen floor
    - dusted the DR, LR and spare bedroom
    - got Aunt Kate's head* out to deal with the cobwebs (*for those of a nervous disposition who haven't met Aunt Kate's head, it is a soft white brush on a long stick which is named after one of my great-aunts - she had a shock of white hair too - and is one of my few treasures from my father's family)
    - DH hoovered downstairs
    - cleaned the ensuite thoroughly
    - FUPA clean clothes from airer
    - WMx2; even hung one load outside to dry :D
    - cleaned the bathroom thoroughly, including the windows (they are very small!)
    - "persuaded" DH to clear his [STRIKE]Very Important Papers[/STRIKE] heap of rubbish on the CoD in our room
    - dusted our BR
    - DH hoovered the BR and bathroom *and* steam mopped the bathroom floor
    - cleared about one eight of the papers on the spare bed in the study aka RoD
    - emptied the shredder and wastepaper bin in the study, plus bathroom and kitchen bins
    - made parsnip and bacon soup for lunch, nom-nom
    - phoned my friend A who is so miserable and arranged for her to come round later
    - had my nails done by another friend M and chatted to her for an hour
    - A arrived and we took Rosie for a walk; not as long as Rosie would have liked, but A is not eating properly and not fit to go far
    - cooked tea for the three of us, persuaded A to eat more than she would have done at home
    - took A to the Old Wives' meeting; not a particularly inspiring speaker, but another of the Old Wives P knows A from SW and chatted to her; also I was able to introduce M, so A might get her to do her nails too, or even do some cleaning for her. Baby steps for A ... This is the first time she's been anywhere "social" for 9 months :o

My house is now less of a grimy tip than it was 24 hours ago :D

I ought to be exhausted by now, but I'm still suffering the effects of a non-decaffeinated tea at the Old Wives' meeting, so I will clear a few more papers before heading off to bed.

Might I request some brilliant obedience vibes for Rosie tomorrow, please, as she is taking her Kennel Club Silver award?

SW weigh-in at 9.45 tomorrow - so I'd better get up a bit earlier than I did today! Hoping I've lost the pound I put on last week, but I did eat 2 small HM shortbread biscuits this evening: had to have two because they were chicks and eggs and I couldn't decide which came first :rotfl:

Good luck today ATB. I hope things go well for you x

The new little piglet is just gorgeous Pigpen. You must be so proud :heartpuls How many children and grandchildren are there in your family now? Ooh, he's made me all broody!

Silver award is in the bag Rosie...just do what mum says and you'll be fine. Fingers crossed for you Iona.

    Fanfare please....

DH got the job :j He starts officially on 1st May but there is likely going to be a transition period while he hands over and ties up his end of year bits and bobs. He is super happy, and so am I. Maybe things will start to be less stressful soon!

I'm exhausted after a manic day yesterday with three small people. Food shopped, treasure hunt at local NT castle, Maccy D lunch, matinee movie, football in the [STRIKE]builder's yard[/STRIKE] garden and collapsed in a heap.

Small has football camp all day today, so just Tiny and me at home. Chocolate cake baking is on the cards. And a snooze. Most definitely a snooze....zzzzz.....

    Hugs to all :D

Well done to your DH, Dizzy :T I hope he enjoys his new job is less stressed.

Will be thinking of you this afternoon, atb xx

Drizzly here this morning, and looking unlikely to dry up before I have to take R for a walk *before* her test to take the edge off her bounciness! There is another warning on FB about Alabama Rot :(

    Plan for today is therefore:
    - check finances
    - sort Toddlers' Group bag
    - sort choir bag
    - tidy another pile of paperwork
    - shower and dress
    - go to SW weigh-in, eat my breakfast there and stay for a while (in term time I have to just weigh and go)
    - sort the linen cupboard (another dumping ground)
    - phone my goddaughter
    - txt DS2
    - have an early lunch
    - take R for a walk, then wash her feet and groom her
    - take R to class early enough to do a practice walk round the block
    - take her for another run after class
    - cook tea: gammon and chips (easy)
    - church this evening

Hope the sun shines where you are! x
