Beautiful, Narco.
*Healing vibes* for Mr Ionafan.
*Debt busting vibes* for Mr Pigpen.
*Easter egg resisting vibes* for Dizzy and All Flyladies tempted by the idea of the-more-chocolate-the-better.
The WM is twirling on the hottest longest spinless wash with vinegar in it to de-fust it. I'm going to have to TD a few loads because the rain situation is completely out of hand, and if the WM is fusty to begin with that's not going to make doing four or five loads today that helpful. Vinegar to the rescue as always.
And then I really must crack on with making the hovel appear as though someone once cared about it; this week has not been a shining example of H2H, regrettably.Better is good enough.0 -
Hey. I’m back. Properly. In Truro. No cleaner:eek:
I need to buy a mop and bucket, and everything else.:rotfl:
Narc0lepsy I hope your first ParkRun went well. We ‘were’ going to start our new healthy life down here with the Treliske one this morning, but we didn’t set an alarm and it’s 1/2 hr earlier down south. Oops:rotfl:
We arrived 0100 on Thursday morning after a nightmare drive. Our van arrived at 1800. We are knee deep in boxes and flat pack. It’s freezing and raining but I’m trying to stay cheerful. The house will be fine once I get some curtains up and get some plants.
I will be joining the Flyladies properly from Monday. And back to the slinkies. I didn’t bring the scales down, but I can’t fit any of my clothes and I feel FAT.
((((Hugs))), sticks and spoons. I have been reading along on my phone but I can’t post on it. I think congratulations to pigpen
And feel better soon Mr. IonafanGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
morning
I hope Mr iona is feeling better today xx And get well soon to Natty and pigpen's DS2 xx
Dizzy - your ETA made me laughNot because I'm warped but because I know that feeling; this is the first year ever that I've not had to buy replacement Easter eggs after one, or two
, mysteriously
disappeared. (Made much easier by the fact that chocolate now gives me a headache
).
Didn't sleep well last night, but feeling ok at the moment - I'm washed and dressed, the bed is made, and I've just ordered some knickers :T( been on the 'to do' list since July), tea towels, and trainers - I will start walking when they arrive
Round 1 =
1. feed the birds
2. put out rubbish and recycling
3. laundry shuffle
4. WM x 1
5. WUDUPA a bowl of pots
6. coffee
H2H - I've unearthed the curtains for the dining end of the kitchen :T They will go up this weekend
Miserable weather - perfect for flying indoors!

Welcome to your new home, FBO, and welcome back to the Flylady fold
Hope you're feeling better today, Natty x
Hope your DS2 has stopped upchucking, pigpen.
Many thanks for GWS wishes for my DH. His temperature peaked at about 8.00 pm yesterday, he has had a good night's sleep (good by his standards), and so have I (without him tossing and turning), and things look brighter this morning. But he has not gone to work on the railway, he will will not be coming out with me this evening to see DS2, and I shall not be going either if his temperature goes up again.
This morning I have
- chopped veg for borscht, but forgot the potato, so am now hastily baking one in the MW and will dice it and add to the SC as if nothing had happened :rotfl:
- made breakfast
- showered and dressed
- cut DH's hair (long overdue!)
- S&S'd kitchen, including cleaning the cabinet windows
- sorted washing and stripped some bedclothes
- started first of WMx2, which will have to be TD'd as it's raining again
- made 3 phonecalls, including one very long one
- given DH my details so that he can start checking for new car insurance for us both (I don't like my renewal quote of £650!)
This afternoon I need to
- take Rosie for another walk in the rain
- sort out receipts for the Toddler Group set-up costs
- clear the last few papers off the spare bed and top of the filing cabinet
- dust the most visible bits of the study - the rest can wait until Monday0 -
I DID IT :j Survived my first Park run, and got it in before my 60th as I'd hoped - 13 days to be exact. It was harder than I'd expected, more 'upward inclines' and some slippery grass, but I only walked a short distance when it was steep and slippery together; I jogged most of it. If I ever want to do it again, at least I have a time to beat (43mins 09sec) and you can knock a fraction off that as they deem 'start' to be when the 1st person sets off; I was a way back so as not to be trampled by the younger/faster hordes.
Out to breakfast with Mr N, brother and SIL; great to have them cheering me on at strategic places round the course and I've just had a nice hot bath. I don't plan on doing very much involving energy expenditure today......
Thanks for all your support, especially FBO - and welcome back.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Major GWS vibes for Mr Iona; that sounds extremely unpleasant, and very worrying.
Sorry to hear that Piggers' DS2 is puking again.
Am I the only Flylady who has no chocolate in the house? And not because it's all been eaten, either; we simply haven't had any. And I don't miss it.
We have agreed to continue with just bimbling (luv that word) this week; the boys are very time-consuming, and it's just better to spend the time ensuring they are happy. We are generally pretty organised, and of course we live by the Valli mantra so a fortnight of just doing what's vital and leaving the rest won't kill us.
I am getting a little more rest at night - not more sleep, but a more restful time; I suspect this is directly related to the fact that the boys sleep on the bed.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy house-warming FBO! I like the idea of Flyladies gradually emigrating to the southwest, be it permanetly, temporarily and just for holidays.
Fabulously well done, Narco! Hats off to you for doing it at all, but 43 mins and a bit is a grand time.
Glad Mr Ionafan is feeling a bit more like himself, and I hope his temperature stays stable so that you can go out tonight, Ionafan.
I've done five WM loads so far and have another three to go; Mount washmore was a bit extreme. The TD is coping with it all and the trolley is set up in the kitchen so everything can finish off there and be aired overnight. The rest of the tidying has been done, Kelpie walked four times and is now a lot calmer, OH has collected eight of the ten signatures I need which saves me having to do it (hurrah!) and I've found one of Devil Cat's painkillers which explains why he had such a bad night and means we don't have to make the phone call tomorrow as tentatively planned. *relief*
I think it's time I went and got Devil Cat some tuna and me some chocolate so that we can both have lunch while OH is having a beer in the pub chasing another signature.Better is good enough.0 -
Well done Narc0! :T:TAnd those lilies are beautiful.
Welcome back FBO:wave:
Lots of get well wishes to Mr Ionafan.
We are all safely esconced in the land of bread and wine. Dog at my feet, it's not raining, what more to want?0 -
That’s a brilliant time Narc0lepsy :j I think my last was 40mins and that was 2 stone ago:eek:
LameWolf I’m glad the doggies are restful.
Ionafan I hope it’s not raining too hard. That’s the only bit I don’t miss about Ozzie :rotfl:
Just spent even more money, but we have some food in the house (this new fridge/freezer is a tiny - or standard for most people - one on top of the other.) I’m used to a full size fridge and a full chest freezer. Between that and no dishwasher, I can see my cooking habits changing:D
I also treated myself to some lovely new pans at the Cumbrian kitchen shop. Non-stick, but they will stay that way without the dishwasher and I only brought plastic utensils south with me:TGoals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
I'm a moron... I decided to tidy my bedroom... it is now utterly trashed, I need to do dinner and the bed, cot and floor are buried..
DS2 still upchucking.
