Even mine can be a total lummox at times; I am to the point of beyond cheesed off with spending SOOOOO much of my time doing tasks I loathe (which unfortunately includes all cooking/baking); putting up with tv programmes I can't abide; and generally being ignored when I speak because he has his dratted radio going yet again and has earbuds plugging up his lug'oles. Which would be marginally better than having to hear the piffle he's listening to, were it not for the "tinny" noise emanating from said earbuds, which my super-duper new hearing aids pick up where my old one didn't.
Just ignore me, I'm just well pi**ed off today.
My granddad used to flick the switch on his hearing aid off everytime my mother's eyebrows lifted to tell him off about something under the pretence of scratching his ear.
Is it not possible to do something similar with yours? A bit of silence might be rather handy.
I'm just endured hours of the A-Team on the TV and usually tolerate such things for several weeks before swearing profusely about something being on AGAIN. It finally took in his head when I informed him that I'd rather boil my eyeballs than see the new series of one thing. I can tolerate things for a couple of weeks, but when he watches hours of the same thing again and again, every single day, for hours, it eventually puts me off even shows that I used to like. I've already sown the seeds of 'Jojo is sick and tired of these now' with the A Team and Night Bleeding Rider, by saying they really are even worse than I remembered as a child.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

!!!!!!.
Just like yesterday, had no choice about having the Back to the Future film on. The ones he has three versions of on DVD and saved to his laptop. They go on, give it five minutes and he's snoring like he's just been read a bedtime story. If I so much as think of getting the remote control, he wakes up.
He's been awake for roughly six hours of the last 24. I've been asleep for about 4 of them.
We didn't have any binbags, so I couldn't get rid of the dangerous food items and general rubbish. Without being able to get rid of the rubbish, I couldn't get to the sink. And I don't feel particularly keen on any food prepared in the kitchen when it's in that state.
But he still snores away quite peacefully, because he is adamant that being tired means you go to sleep immediately and never mind if that screws up your sleep pattern for the rest of the week/month/day/year. Because it's perfectly normal to sleep all morning, part of the afternoon, all evening and then go to bed.
Whilst insisting on having your crap on the TV at all times.
I'm bored, I'm completely unimpressed by the crap he's bought at various times that I couldn't risk with the meds I'm on anyway, I have no way of telling if the things in the fridge are replacements or things that have been out in the warm for days and then returned to the fridge, I've had a permanent cold for weeks and I've been wheezing for at least a fortnight.
And I've got the rest of my holiday to go with it like this, after which he sods off to a cruise ship in the Caribbean, after which he will come back (having spent my money whilst there because he doesn't have any of his own) and probably take to his bed for weeks because he won't just be tired from the effort, he'll have the excuse of Jetlag to add to it. And probably lots of complaints of just how stressful it was for him.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
(((Hugs))) to everyone who's having a hard time at the moment, particularly if it's connected with an OH who means well but hasn't quite figured out how to be the best version of themselves yet.
After a megaflying day yesterday all I have managed today is folding laundry and putting it away and cuddling a small black cat who's feeling very sorry for himself.Better is good enough.0 -

Dancepops isn!!!8217;t too well. He is 82 with advanced heart failure. His legs are leaking fluid. I found him trying to prepare a meal for my sisters and families this morning. I helped then contacted them to help him as he really isn!!!8217;t strong enough.
DH took DS2 to the park to look for poke mon whilst I was at my parents.
He has gone berserk again this evening (DS2) throwing furniture and gadgets and attacking people. We are on a waiting list for help.

Morning All,
Yesterday's flinging session resulted in:
- Two black bags of clothes for Cash4 Clothes
- A binbag of rubbish
- A carrier bag full of outgrown shoes and dressing up bits for a friend's kids, plus she is having a floor steamer that I never use
Put the kitchen to bed last night which is nice to come down to. I have a few bits of ironing to do and one laundry load. The weather is utter pants - sleeting and freezing. Kids will be stir crazy by 10am no doubt.
Dancemum I am so sorry you are having such a rubbish time. Have a huge hug love xx
Right the iron beckons have good days all xMFW

So did I, I am getting into the habit of leaving the kitchen in a mess when I go to bed on a weekend then I feel really cross when I get up. Even better I had no teens cooking pizza at 11pm last night so it stayed tidy.
Well the weather looks grim doesnt it? Have put all the doggie bedding in to wash because it didnt get done this weekend, it can go in the tumbler as it wont take long to try.
I have DHs accounts to do and some home admin. DH said last night that he wanted to go out for a bit today but no idea where. DS1 is at work so I will go and make his packed lunch.0 -
(((Hugs))) to dancemum, your DH and dancepops. You are all amazing people and deserve every possible ounce of help xxx
Well done on the flinging, atb and pigpen. I will send DH to the CS on Tuesday with a bag, and I will ring another CS about collecting two carver chairs that we inherited from the previous owner of this house. They take up too much room and are difficult to climb past in our miniscule DR.
I went to bed early last night (9.45) as I couldn't keep my eyes open; DH said, "I'll follow you up." I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow. Woke up at 3.15 and realised DH wasn't in bed with me; went downstairs and found him dozing in his chair with the TV still on  He said yesterday that he would take Rosie out for a walk this morning: I shall hold him to his promise, even though it is raining again [insert evil laugh emoji]
This morning I have done the last of yesterday's washing up (roasting rack and tins, cake tin and liner, which had all been left in soak overnight) and S&S'd the kitchen.
I need to tidy and clean upstairs.
I must remember to print some more crown templates for birthday celebrations at the toddler group
Hope everyone has a good day despite the weather. Spoons and sticks in the jar on the side - please help yourselves x0
