I went to bed early last night (9.45) as I couldn't keep my eyes open; DH said, "I'll follow you up." I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow. Woke up at 3.15 and realised DH wasn't in bed with me; went downstairs and found him dozing in his chair with the TV still on

The same thing happened here except DH finally came up to bed on his own. When I came down this morning I discovered, he'd fallen asleep with his red wine in his hand and that is now all over the sofa. I've taken off the covers and they are in the WM. As if I didn't have enough washing to do today.

Morning flyers and hugs to whoever needs them.

So far I have got the WM going as above, fed me and the dogs and dusted the dusty bits in the LR.

It's pouring with rain here so all jobs today will be indoors though hopefully we'll get dog walks done. I also plan to change the bedding and clean all the floor.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Back again.

I have ordered DH and DD new EHIC cards, shredded two rubbish bags worth of paperwork and fed the children. Also ironed the few bits I had to do. Could quite happily nod off again now!

HB - I'm heading SW in a couple of weeks but only as far as Brizzle!

Another Flylady to add to the list of migrants - hurrah!

(((Hugs))) Dancemum. There shouldn't be a waiting list for the help you need, there really shouldn't.

Weather merde here, so the only washing I'll do is various animal blankets that can be draped over railings and the trolley in the house to finish drying after a good spin. Devil Cat not a happy little chap so extra, extra cuddles today. OH seems to have accepted the situation.
    Better is good enough.

    morning

It's tipping down here (again) but at least it's rain and not snow! And it's a Bank Holiday so I don't have to turn out in it :).

Was awake in the night (again) and then slept in, but it's a Bank Holiday so that's ok :D Feel a bit groggy so all I've done so far is don my dressing gown, sup a brew and watch a wren pootling about under the bare fuchsia bush in the front border by the window - I hardly dared breathe in case I spooked him/her. I do love my birds :)

Got a day at home :T til visiting a friend at 6.30 tonight - to deliver Easter card and eggs, birthday card and gifts (for Friday) and sponsor money, so after a lazy day yesterday, I'd better crack on.

    Round 1 =
    1. make the bed
    2. get washed and dressed
    3. feed the birds
    4. put out rubbish and recycling
    5. laundry shuffle
    6. WM x 1
    7. WUDUPA a bowl of pots
    8. wrap birthday present
    9. Sweetie's seed and water
    10. sort stuff for cs into bags and label ready to drop off
    11. bin inflatable Ghostbusters thing - DS said it could go :T
    12. coffee :D
ETA check expiry date on DS's EHIC card - thank you atb xx

Hope everyone has a good day whatever the weather.

Just popping by to offer some ((hugs)) to Dancemum. As HB rightly says, there really shouldn't be a waiting list for what you need.

HB - extra cuddles for Devilcat from Auntie Fayolle.

Doing absolutely nothing of any consequence as it is also a public holiday om the other side of the Channel. If it makes it any better, I am also watching steady rain come down. But somehow it is more acceptable than when at home, as all I have to do is read a book, do my knitting or watch a film. Oooohhh I've just spotted a couple of jigzaws...

Back again, having a cuppa. Upstairs hard floors are clean and a phone call has been decluttered. Still raining. About to start on downstairs hard floors.

Hugs HB for Devil Cat - is it a bad day because he missed that tablet you found the other day? Hopefully just a blip as he really is miracle cat.

  • Guess who is still in bed?
Unless he got bitten by a Tsetse Fly at the foul venue on Friday, there is really no excuse for sleeping this much. He says he's not depressed at all.

What does that leave us with, then? Being a lazy git, that's what.

In ten minutes, I am starting a rage clean. If he didn't buy bin bags last night, despite knowing they were needed, rubbish is going into reusable shopping bags and he'll have to buy replacements.

And if he doesn't surface pretty sharpish and join in, I am vacuuming the bedroom.

Me again. Hard floors are clean downstairs now too. Just stopping again for early lunch - jacket spud with tuna mayo. Will then hoover the carpets and rugs - after reading the paper.

  • Decided to [strike]thunder into the bedroom like a woman possessed[/strike] go and sit on the end of the bed and brush the Fluffy Cat, so her delighted bouncing and spinning around to get the bristles just where she wanted them, together with her tendency to break stinky wind when her glands are checked (they're fine) and slight drifts of long, delicate strands of SuperFluff got him awake and heading for the bathroom.

Where he discovered that he forgot to buy toilet roll as well as bin bags. And as he does not work in an environment where a toilet break is a rare luxury that only happens (if it happens at all) at certain times of the day, is looking somewhat uncomfortable.

So he's now on his way out in the rain (that only started as I went upstairs) so that he can use the bathroom. I might have chirpily mentioned that it was perfectly nice weather until a little while ago.
