Hi sorry the lad is not behaving well at the moment, hope it improves. My dd is 14 and she still seems to be an angel, waiting for the strops to happen at some point! DS is very strong willed so we wait for those hormones to kick in!
Hope you manage to have a good day, H x0 -
Morning.
Thanks for your comments, Ds was better yesterday as DH had given him a talking to, Ds was complaining of a sore throat and feeling yucky this morning so I gave him some paracetamol and he has gone to school if he feels worse i can always collect him, so stroppiness could have been a combination of hormones and starting with a bug.
Having a quick break of crumpets and tea before I continue tidying up, feel like it has been a tough week and housework has slid which means the house is a bombsite, I have so far sorted chickens (4 eggs today), emptied the ashes in the woodburner and relaid it and its now roaring away, brought in 2 wheel barrow loads of wood so baskets are full and dishwasher is on.
Sent DH last night to get some butter from b00ths, he also bought loads of reduced bacon and sausage which is great but we are supposed to be eating down the freezer, so £13 spent. Ocado sent me a voucher for £15 off £80 spend wasn't going to use it but when I checked I realised I still had free delivery I thought my pass had run out so I have a shop coming later which will be about £65, i'm still under my £300 budget for the month so really pleased with that.

Few more items have been decluttered, finished a bottle of gin I received for Christmas(last night not this morning), candy canes binned that have been in the kitchen since I took the tree down, every year the kids ask for them and every year they get thrown away. Juice bottle with a broken lid into recycling and a fancy hot choc tin into recycling.
Sold a couple more bits on ebay and made £13, TT and 1p challenge continues.
Off to tidy the porch:eek:0 -
Cor blimey you've done loads already today, I'm on a go slow as ds has been sick in the night for 2 nights in a row so a bit sleep deprived!
Good news on the menu planning and decluttering, and the ebay sales.
Enjoy your day, H x0 -

I will no doubt crash and burn this afternoon on the sofa.
Sorry to hear DS is sick I hope he feels better soon, i'd also be on a go slow if I hadn't slept properly in 2 days.
Hope you have a good weekend xx0 -
Just having a quick cuppa and some leftover stirfry I found in the freezer.
Shopping has been delivered and was £67,did send back 20 carrier bags so should get £1 back, fridge had been cleaned out and everything put away, found half a jar of mince meat lurking at the back of the fridge so will do something with that over the weekend.
Decluttered a couple of jars,1 being horseradish that went out of date in 2015:o.
I've also decluttered 2 of DS tshirts that have holes in them and some random screws I found in a drawer, OH has obviously put them there but he didn't know what they were for:mad:.0 -
Well done on all the decluttering, makes everything seem simpler and cleaner somehow I always think.
Have a great weekend. Coughs here too, but hoping I don’t get it. no time to be ill!!

Evening, well the day started off well, TT and 1p challenge money shifted to pots, DS was up early for a rugby match and I had to have him at school for 8am as they were heading up to the Scottish border, he got home around 3pm and went straight to bed as he was feeling ropey (sore throat and achy) he slept for 3hrs and seems a bit brighter now.
Then took DD prom dress shopping, she spent the morning trying on very beautiful dresses and found one she loves, it has been ordered and I have paid the deposit, have until May to pay the rest and then it will need to be altered as she is tiny(size 6) and taken up and to be honest I don't care about the cost, she will only have 1 prom and I want her to have the dress of her dreams (OMG what will I be like when she gets married).
Now onto the not so great news, DH got all his tax stuff back from accountant today and his tax bill was £1500 more than he was expecting:eek::eek:. So this evening has been spent opening a bottle of wine and going through everything and making a budget for FEb , we can pay it without dipping into my saving or using any of the house buying money, which was the first thought as we won't complete until March. If we are super careful/frugal we will be ok. So it looks like a super frugal February is ahead of us, thankfully there is a half term holiday so I will be off for 10 days so that reduces fuel spends, DS won't need dinner money for those days and DD won't have tutoring that week so a total saving of £65.We do have 3 birthdays in Feb one being DD 16th birthday. But she just wants something quiet at home with her close friends, so will probably end up getting take out pizza or KFC and HM birthday cake.
Anyway I like a challenge so i'm sure it will be fine (insert big gulp).0 -
I’m sure you’ll manage, but best of luck XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
