All sounding great, so nice to have the washing outside even the towels have been drying quickly. Agree though it was a bit chilly in the evening so had the CH on for a couple of hours although turned the thermostat off so it didn't come on this morning.

Meals sounds lovely, you've made loads today - apart from my volunteering and a quick shop I have done nothing, oh have just returned from town as dh needed boots, ds trainers and I needed boots. The boys pairs cost about £40 each, my boots were £10!

Good news on the mastercard, all helps towards the budget.

Enjoy the rest of your day, H x

Hi Huggle, It is nice seeing the washing flapping on the line, long may this weather continue.
Eek to the boys shoes cost, why are kids shoes so expensive?!
    Take care x

    Morning,

Really bad nights sleep, just seemed to toss and turn and got up early, I know going back to work tomorrow is playing on my mind:(.
I try not to comment on it in my diary as want it to be more positive than negative. I love parts of my job and hate other parts, I love the children, but hate all the politics and I also dislike how we are pushed to be like one big family and encouraged to socialise together outside work and if you don't go you are questioned and looked down on :(. Don't get me wrong I do like most of the people I work with, but they are not my family or my good friends so why would I share personnel things with them or want to spend my personnel time with them. sorry just having a brain dump.

On to more positive things sold a BIN overnight on ebay, just £4 but that's ok and it is something else out of the house. Also redeemed another £5 mastercard :) this morning after catching up on surveys, not sleeping has some positives. Will add the card to DS lunch account which will take it up to £15 and should then be ok until payday on Thursday.

Plans today are to take DH to collect his car, he left it in town yesterday as had a few pints at the rugger. washing and ironing for me, make sure everyone is sorted for school tomorrow. Need to buy more milk as I will be making yorky puds and custard later.

I would hate being forced to socialise with my work colleagues, I do have some I get on very well with, but even them I rarely see out of work!

Thanks Jwil, we have had a lot of staff turnover the last 2 yrs and new staff are much younger than me.

Pottering continues and have dried another load of washing out on the line, its not as blowy as yesterday so taking longer to dry.
I have also Cleaned the back windows just need to do the porch.

Small spend of £1.30 on milk earlier, still trying to eat out of stores as we seem to have so much random stuff lurking, took a loaf of bread out of the freezer and found 2 random tubs of bolognaise, should be enough for tea tomorrow when put together, also found some black pudding which I hate so DH must of bought it, it is in slices so will start taking a piece out over the next few weekends he can have it with eggs and toast for breakfast, otherwise it is getting fed to the dog. Did replace what I had taken out with the soup I made yesterday and some sliced leeks.

Need to list some ebay items and do the ironing but i'm quickly losing momentum, think a coffee and slice of cake may just help ;:o:D.

Glad your lurgy has gone now :)

Nothing worse than feeling you have to socialise - fine if you want to but if you don't it shouldn't be viewed negatively.

Well done on stretching things out until payday.

I agree with SA that socialising with work colleagues shouldn't be compulsory. I suppose they want everyone to bond together but you can't force bonding.

DH had a job once years ago before he was SE where they were obsessed with team building and even arranged weekends away and wanted spouses to come too . We weren't too keen on this suggested use of our precious weekend .

I hope you sleep better tonight :).

Thanks guys for popping by, life has been super hectic the last few weeks.

So quick update and confession :o, we are hoping to complete on house next week, there has been a couple of glitches but everything seems to be sorted now, we had also overlooked how much stamp duty would be for a 2nd home or buried are head in the sand , so we have had to borrow off the CC, we have managed to transfer it on 0% for 12 months but this now means we are back in debt by approx 4K. So no longer debt free :( but hopefully the house will rent out quickly and we can then get it paid off.

Frugality continues and with being off for school hols i'm trying to eat up out of stores as much as possible, yesterday I made a lovely cream of vegetable soup using odds and ends out of the fridge and freezer which we had for lunch with crumpets, there is enough left for DH/DS lunch today. Also made a batch of rocky road up again using bits out of the baking cupboard. Chickens are laying eggs for England so made a cheese quiche for last nights tea which we had with some new pots and salad.
This morning I have used up some greek yoghurt BB date yesterday with an overripe banana and some honey fro breakfast. Lunch will be soup or salad and quiche, need to turn yesterdays left over potatoes into potato salad. Taken fish out of the freezer for a fish pie tonight which we will have with let over veggies from sunday (leeks in cheese sauce, carrot and swedeand green beans). Also have half a pot of double cream which needs using up so will make some scones and we can have a cream scone with a cup of tea this afternoon. So not really sticking to a meal plan as such this week just kinda going with the flow and using up what needs eating and it seems to be working.

Surveys and ebay continues and have redeemed a £5 pre paid mastercard this morning which has gone straight onto DS school lunch account. I also have a couple of things to list on ebay today.

Weather is bright and sunny here but quite a blustery cool wind so washing is out on the line and 2nd load is in the machine, very much a housework day today, both DS and DD are revising for exams so the Ester hols are going to be quite low key.

Hope all is well with everyone xx
