Thanks lucky, we just need to be super scrimpers for the next few weeks xx0 -
Morning.
Today is going to be a quiet day at home pottering, DD and DH are both working and DS has a football match but has a lift there and back, I do need fuel in my car but think I will send DH to work in it so he can do that.
TT and 1p challenge done, just 5p and 10p today. Ebay listing for business needs to be done and I have a few items ending tonight it is slow at the moment (time of year) so if I make £20 that will be good, have some items to list today as well.I have a bag of general ebay stuff to list but think I will leave this until school hols when I have more time.
Rst chicken for tea tonight with rst pots and veg, will also bulk it out with some stuffing and may make some yorky puds as well.
DD made a chocolate cake yesterday and I need to make some sweet pastry so I can use up the mincemeat I found in the fridge and make mince pies, these can be used in lunch boxes for myself and DD this week.
Found some black pudding in the freezer last night so that's DH brekkie with scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast, cant stand the stuff myself so will just be having eggs and mushrooms on toast.
Checked DS lunch account and he still has £5 on it so just going to put another £10 on, this should see him through to Thursday when I get paid.
To do list -
Fill log baskets.
washing at least 3 loads.
Put clean washing away.
ebay listings.
make sweet pastry/mince pies.
Make Yorkshire pudding batter.
Hoover through downstairs.
Top up DS lunch account.
Get tomorrows tea out of freezer and check how much bread we have..
Last nights left over beef cobble into freezer (2 portions).
Better finish my cup of tea and get cracking.0 -
Eeek to the tax bill, hope you manage to get it together without too much hardship on yourselves.
Sounds like a busy day ahead, mmm homemade mince pies are always good.
Have a lovely day, H x0 -
Ouch to the tax bill.
Have a good day x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks ladies, yes big ouch to the tax bill but as I said to DH the money has been earnt so we need to pay the bill, DH hates the Inland revenue with a passion so much grumbling and muttering has been going on, me I just think pay it and move on. I'm quite glad he is at work today he can go and moan to someone else :rotfl:.0

Well finally i'm back, the last few weeks have been awful for illness, we have all been ill in the PWPS household with a very nasty virus (shivering freezer cold to raging temperature in minutes, cough, sore throat, snotty noses, infected sinus) all of which has completely wiped everyone out, the last 2 weeks have completely gone out of the window and we have literally just been trying to get through the day,I have taken my eye off money no ebaying, surveys,TT or 1p challenge have taken place. I need to add up grocery spends as although we have eaten simple (scrambled eggs, soup) we have consumed vasts amounts of fruit juice and fruit as we all seemed to be craving this and I have no idea how much we have spent so far this month, also need to check banking. It has taken me all weekend to get back on top of housework and washing and yesterday was the first day I didn't feel as though I had been hit by a train.
So plans for today, drop DD at hairdressers then nip to agricultural farm shop for chicken feed and dog food.
Check banking/finances.
ebay.
Tidy my bedroom and strip bed.
Meal plan.
Washing.
Surveys.
Bake cake.
Watch call themidwife on catch up,been in bed befor 8 most nights and have so many TV programmes I want to catch up on, will call this me time.
Back later xx0 -
£5 mast£rcard redeemed from a survey site and received instantly which has been put straight onto DS lunch account, also £2.50 redeemed from another survey site, not much but good to get back on it.0
