Off work for a week now so going to do a list and hopefully work through it whilst I'm off. Went rummaging in the freezer for tea and found a cheese quiche to have, not had that for ages but really enjoyed it. Going to start decluttering as well but need to take all the Xmas recycling to the recycling centre first otherwise I'll probably need to hire a van for the stuff I'll have.PWPS you have done well with your list.xx

Thanks amber03, I love quiche but kids aren't so keen so on;y have it now and then, Good luck with decluttering, i'm not really a hoarder and don't like having stuff, although other members of the household are and DH wouldn't throw anything away if he could get away with it, he isn't as bad as his parents though who have cupboards and outbuildings stuffed with things.
  • Well done on all your your things on the to do list, and nice meal plan - any spares can be sent my way!

One thing I've found about jeans is that they go soft really quickly, perhaps I'm just buying cheap pairs but they don't seem to be the same material as I used to get when I was youner.

    Hope you've had a good day, H x

I usually wear M&S or gap jeans but neither fit me properly, although think its more to do with the xmas pounds rather than the jeans, will try again in a few weeks once i'm back at work.
  • I love your meal plans Pennywise!!!! xx

Thanks mummy, I do try and have various meals but sometimes feel its a bit repetitive.
  • Day 4

Absolutely shattered today, also feel hormonal and generally bleurgh.

Busy morning, had a contact lens test this morning all good and no change in prescription. posted ebay parcel and picked up my prescription from chemist.
I then put £20 of fuel into the car and went to do a small top up shop and here is where my plan failed.I was good and went Mr Al spent £58 which was a fail as I was only planning on spending around £40 but bought lots of fruit and veg and other healthy bits, also stocked up on some staples whilst I was there as it is so much cheaper than MR S, Mr Al didn't have any coleslaw (I know I should make it myself and I do in summer but only I eat it) so I nipped into B00ths and found lots of whoppsied food, loaves of posh bread down from £2 to 33p, packs of posh crumpets and teacakes down to 20p a pack, there own chicken kievs down to £1 each these are a whole chicken breast stuffed and breaded and freshly made instore and are amazing I only but them as a treat as they are usually £4.50 for 2, spent £15 and saved £24 would have bought more but knew I didn't have the room in the freezers. Freezers are jam packed full took out a few bits for the weekend and also had to take out the trays of icecubes, I really cannot buy anything else we need to eat down the freezers. My name is PWPS and i'm addicted to filling up chest freezers:o.

Withdrew £2 from quidco which will go into saving once it hits paypal, 60p TT and 4p for the 1p challenge.
Decluttered a pile of papers and an empty quality street tub to recycling.
Going to go and have a bath with a glass of gin and then jimjams and ready for the last Luther :D.

  • Morning.

Quiet morning of housework and caught up with a few surveys, Dh and DS have gone to Manchester to watch the footie and DD is at work so the house is quiet. I'm off out to meet a friend for coffee this afternoon should be a low spend.
Finances done and a small bill paid, I have also cancelled NowTV as we don't really watch it and prefer N£tflix. TT of 70p and 1p challenge payment of 13p to round accounts down.
Decluttered 3 scarves that are pretty worn out to rag bag and a dead houseplant to bin.
Frugality continues and Woodburner on and CH off, washing drying on airer.we have acquired 2 more chickens as someone DH knows wanted rid of them (to much hassle apparently:() so we have taken them on just hope they lay, they seem to have settled with the others and are busy scratching about for bugs under the hedges.
Quiche chips and beans for tea nom nom.

  • Good morning.

Well this week has been first week back to work/school after Christmas holidays and what a shock to the system it has been, i'm hating these dark dank mornings and they give me no motivation to get up and get on with the day. The week has mainly been good but with some bad thrown in.

Sunday we visited various relatives and were out of the house most of the day,did come back back from 1 rellies with a bag of frozen cod pieces and prawns as they have gone off fish, had no room in my freezers so tweaked the meal plan and we had fish pie for Monday nights tea.
Finances were done and a TT of 70p and 1p challenge of 13p, also made £55 on £bay. Decluttered 3 items of brocken cheap jewellery.

Monday Manic day as we were back to it and seemed to pass in a blur, DC were not happy to be back at school and everyone seemed grumpy and tetchy. Made a TT of 70p and 1p challenge of 5p, also received £2 from quidc0.

Tuesday, TT of 60p and 1p challenge of 27p, decluttered a gaft bag and received £16 amaz0n voucher, did spend £3.70 on a small top up shop in Mr T.

Wednesday, Spent £2.50 on a school lunch as it was roast day and duty day and I always get so cold at this time of year. Made a TT of 11p and £1.58 to 1p challenge as I received a little interest on a saving account.

Yesterday I made a TT of £1 and 15p to 1p challenge also received £2 in love2shop vouchers.

So the negatives of this week are that we have had to pull out of cottage, sellers response to land issue was we have always used it,never had a problem, don't know what the issue is.Ours and Solicitors response was your name is not on the land registry infact nobody's is so it needs sorting, there was a bit more than this that went on so we decided to pull out as it just didn't feel right. I'm sad about it but it obviously wasn't mean't to be and there are other houses out there.

Today i'm off to get my hair done and it really needs it looks like a birds nest. Mr M sent me a free delivery code and I already had a £5 more voucher so have a small £50 shop coming later, all fresh stuff and some dishwasher tabs/washing powder.
Finances done as bank account is at a round figure so I TT £1 and sent £1 to1p challenge, i'm not doing the 1p challenge in order i'm just making sure I do a payment a day and crossing it off and making the bigger payments when I can afford it as I know there will be days like before payday when all I can manage is 10p.

    Have a great weekend xx
