Quite right Ev - you should definitely be relaxing! I think we can safely same that at this stage you've certainly earnt it! Try popping your hands and feet into a bowl of iced water for a while - that should help to sort out the swelling a bit and also will help to cool you down. Actually - that should read "bowls of iced water" shouldn't it - I'm hazarding a guess that at this point there is no prospect on earth of you getting your hands and feet into the same bowl! :rotfl:
L&G wrote to us a while ago to say that they were leaving our premiums for the various mortgage-related insurances the same, so we're sticking with them for the time being. Well done on your seedlings - once they are planted out the real worry starts with slugs, snails and similar nasties! My OH goes out each evening and gives our local snail population free "flying lessons"!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

HI all,
Well baby is comfy and not shifting just yet, due date is next Monday so have to be content to wait! We just want to see him now, and I'm uncomfortable but not in any pain except when he decides to stretch out arrrrrrrrrgh!
No progress on savings at the moment, need to get focussed again after the baby arrives as 12 months now until the variable rate kicks in so need to save as much as possible.

Just in case I don't get a chance to pop in before wee one pops out, all the very best to you all for a happy & healthy arrival!

Is it too early to talk about Xmas? We're very excited as going away with the in-laws to a cottage on the west coast of Wales so not too far to travel for any of us (we live in North Wales and they live in South Wales), my s-i-l is going to pay for the majority of the rental as she is getting a nice bonus from the RAF so only food and petrol to account for. It will be nice to get away for a few days as haven 't had a holiday for ages. Also other bonus will be that dh's brother will be staying in South Wales to look after their dog - he's a nightmare so will be good to be away from him!
No news on baby front, but have had a lot of pain so maybe starting to get ready. I have a midwife appointment at lunch time so hopefully she can tell what's happening. If he's not here by Monday I'm having a hot curry a hot bath and hot you know what!!!!:rotfl:lol.

£50 heading my way, a survey site that takes ages to build up has now reached its payout sum so when two small surveys have cleared then they will send me the 50 squid - might take a few weeks but hey ho that's pennies for the savings.
Spent a bit of money on dd but as she has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a while I thought I'd better get her a new bed - managed to get the one we wanted for £94 saving £45 in sale and extra £15 evoucher from MSE poster and double Mr T points at the original value. Is being delivered on Saturday so hopefully won't be otherwise engaged!
I have decided I'm a rubbish saver, I good at budgeting and saving pennies on shopping etc but when it comes to saving big amounts I'm hopeless. Ideas needed on how I can improveI don't really want a notice account as I like to have access to my pennies (maybe that's my problem).

Hi Eva
Nothing happened while I was away then?????
Have been wondering about you! Hugs and hope all passes in as pleasant a way as possible ( never done it myself - the thought makes my eyes water!!!! The huiman race would have long since died out if it was down to me!!!)
Hugs anyway.....thinking of you and keeping my legs (sorry) FINGERS crossed!

Hi Ev,
Seems to be raining everywhere then
Hope all goes well with both impending deliveries!!

Still no sign, perhaps he's too comfy and I'm inpatient.
Staying in today as waiting for dd new bed to be delivered and then can direct dh to put it together, she still doesn't know that we have ordered it for her so I hope she likes it else she can sleep in the garden!
Sat down with dh again yesterday to talk about money as needed him to see that he has to save for things and not expect just to get them - he wants a video camera but I reminded him that he has to save for his computer course first and we need £130 for the Xmas break so he has to be patient and save up from his weekly allowance if he wants one. He took it on board so hopefully he will only mention it once a day instead of the 100!
I've done a new budget as several changes to our outgoings and incomings, big change with mobile cost next month - changing to PAYG so think I'll be able to save £25 a month as don't use it that much, debating whether to transfer this over to savings every month to build that pot up.
Really need to get focused on savings as next year will come around quickly if I'm not careful.0
