Took out a small nightmare loan today but only to get a good amount of cashback through Quidco, it's all tracked OK and will get profit of £50 at the end of July so will put this straight in the ISA when all settled.
Nothing else happening at the mo, have lots of family visiting next weekend, brother and dh parents will be nice to see them all.
Still got tons of marking to do - taking ages to do one! Will have to do some over the weekend.

Evening,
Two more days of work to go, still got quite a few bits and pieces to do but not too worried about it.
Hubbie got a cheque today for hosting a advert on his website so another £20 to add to the savings pot. Slow but steady going, have to start working out budgets for when I'm off work I have all the figures from employer for the next 6 months so can easily do this.
Just been to dd school for open evening as she starts in September, just have to work out whether we can afford for her to go to playschool and school or nursery and school when I return to work in January.
Nothing else to report at present.

HI - definitely not planning to do much over the next few weeks, haven't got much left to sort out in the nursery so now it's just waiting.
Paid mortgage today, so slightly under 18k until the interest gets added! In-laws are on their way up from South Wales, not staying with us this time so we will get a break from them.
See you later Ev x0 -
HI,
Had a busy weekend with family up here but nice to see them all, m-i-l is going to come up again when the baby arrives and then all coming up in October as dh is doing the Snowdon marathon.
Nothing much going on penny wise need to sit down and work out finances for next few weeks as very tight at the moment. Dh should hear some news about pay in a couple of weeks as the company he works for is restructuring the pay scales. At the moment he is still paid as a new starter even though he's been there 2 years so he asked them when that finishes and they didn't have system in place. He has more responsibility then some of the other technicians and they get paid 2-3k more than him because of 'time-served'! Hopefully he'll get put on the next pay scale but we'll wait and see on the 15th.
Childcare costs will go down from next week as having dd off with me for the 6 months I'm off, bless her only a few weeks left on her own then a screaming baby to put up with. I'm going to spoil her a bit in a MSE way but make sure when the baby arrives she still has some time as an individual.

HI all,
Just had some news which could be a major blow to our finances, DH work is restructuring and making redundancies and if the quarry he works at has to get rid of 2 technicians then he will be one of them.
As he has only been there a couple of years then it will be a pitiful redundancy package, the quarry was due to close later this year any way but we were hoping he would be transferred to another area up the road.
So just when they were sorting out the pay, he might not have a job anyway.
A small help will be the fact that he took out redundancy insurance when he started the job so that would pay most of the mortgage but obviously we would be very tight especially with little babe on the way.
So next couple of months will be spent saving as many pennies as possible to give us a slush fund when we find out what's happening.
Sorry to be doom and gloom! Still excited about baby little rascal kept me awake for ages last night0 -
Hi:hello:
Hope your fears turn out to be wrong:rolleyes: I think the doom and gloom is keeping us all awake. At least you have a gorgeous baby to look forward to...;):D0
