  • Hi everyone. A lot of folks seem to have the January blues. I am a bitty better mood wise now. Wont be too long until payday and at least this year I have not really added much to my debt ( £300) which will be paid off in no time. Last year I had added hundreds, then booked a holiday at thousands. Arent we 'stoopid' sometimes? At least the loan for the holiday is paid along with a lot of other things. Am looking forward to next January to see how I am doing then. Jeez wishing my life away here. x
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00
  • Hugs for those feeling miserable..hang in there; spring is on the way!

  • Starting to struggle this month. All cash has gone so £20 taken out of account (not good should still have cash left so overspending) and only £120ish left on credit card (aiming for £500 spend to pay in full next month). Only 9 days to go before pay day and its going to be tight.

Working on my pigsback and monster clicks but not got round to following eagerlearners guide yet. Keep forgetting to print it out at work. Dont have miscrosoft office ad resisting the temptation to buy it.

    Hiya

Well it's been a slog so far and I've still got 2 weeks til payday :(

My first ever budget has been effective for all but my personal allowance and food budget. I think I'll have to allow a little more for the food and find another way to manage my allowance as I'm almost out of money . Mind you that's because I forgot about two events - three actually - and my winter blues has kicked in big time so I'm eating more crap than usual AND having more takeaways than I planned for :o. However I'm convinced that once I survive January I'll be up and running, plus there are no Council Tax payments for two months so I can use some of that money in other areas (NOT wasting it, I assure you!).

Oh well, onward and upwards everyone. We'll get there eventually :T:T

  • Evening all! Know exactly how everyone is feeling at this time of year but just think about this month's payday!!!! Already earmarked a chunk for the end of the month, so hopefully can clear 1k by the end of Jan..

  • I never thought of it as long haul before. I just feel releaved that I actually have some money left to live on now I'm on the DMP... estimated payment off date.. 2020 without any of these money making ways. :o

Hellow lovely DFW'ers! Many many moons ago when I was a baby DFW we had a thread for the long haulers - ie those of us who because of enormous debts will be here for a looooong time. In view of the fact that there are a few of us again I thought it would be nice to start a long haulers thread agaon, the previous one probably being a zillion pages back!
Being in debt for years can be quite depressing (possibly why I had a blip & then had to come back...with more debt...doh, will I ever learn!!). My last loan payment will be paid off in about 7 years, when I am 45!! Anyone want to join me in support, moans, mini goals and general support on the long road ahead? :D

As of 21/11/07 I will allocate the new numbers - if you would like a number please pm me & I'll add you to the list below ASAP. It try to add them every few days but if work/life very busy it may take a bit longer! If I havent done it in a week feel free to chase me up!!

  • I must admit it will be nice to update the signature to take off another £200ish and I will hopefully be in the black for the first time in a a few months . Only got a small o/d limit of £100 but I was so annoyed when I started to use it so soon :o .

If feb goes to plan I will have got the car fixed without increasing my borrowing and put £100 into xmas savings :j. All this will be a big improvement because usually I just slowly add to my borrowings each month.

Just worrying my unneccessary spending will get out of hand until then.
