Hi guys its quite here. Got £120 form OH which is £20 more than expected so paid that straight in to the bank before I spent it. It will go against the car as
1) keeps stalling which is dangerous, getting that fixed on Thurs. Dont know cost but guessing £50-£100 as I think its a simple job.
2) really really need to get cam belt done. Had the car two years in April and its done over 112k miles. I dont know when / if the cam belt was done so riding my luck. Do not want to get caught out, budgeting £250-£350 for that. Will know more on Thurs.
I have been planning for this in Feb budget so should be ok if careful. My downfall is thinking Im ok but forgeting the extra things like car maintenance in my budget.:j0 -
I seem to be working hard at standing still at the moment. I get so impatient though. I set myself a target of under £40k by end of February and have almost done it already but I am still not happy
. Dunno if others feel the same but I just want rid of this sooner than ASAP. Oh I just need to calm my jets and hope I have another nice wee bingo win or something.
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.

Welcome both - why not tell us a bit about yourselves so we can get to know you?
I realise in saying that that I never have so heres a bit about me! I'm an Englishwoman living happily in Wales with my 3 cats. I work as a professional and have been able to be open about my debts thankfully! Family & most riends have been supportive and like me cant wait for me to be out of debt, although its been a hard lesson as such a far away date!! Never mind eh! Better to have learned when I did than go to far & end up bankrupt! Just joined the grocery challenge & the pay of 8000 challenge in the hope of a good kick start to 2008. How you all doing? Not seen Jacks for a while!!
Hello Missus,
It's nice to have been missed!
I've been tarting it about all over MSEbut mostly hanging out on the 4K thread, but I don't like it over there
cos even though everybody is blimmin' lovely and i adore all the talk of donkeys and chickens I'm already feeling like a big fat failure.
(I'd stick my bottom lip out but I don't like the way it makes me look like a chubby four year old rather than Posh Spice!):rotfl::o
If it wasn't bad enough that everybody else has a £4k target for the year compared to my £10k...I'm already over spending!
I've almost spent a grand already this year and it's only day 15!
Where's the icon for *blows raspberry*?!
I'm having a little bit of catch up over here whilst I've got time on my hands cos I can't sleep.
I was just going to ask how it's going for everybody else, but if I read back a few pages I expect I'll find out!

You got to think though your £10k is for 3 not like I imagine the £4k being for 1. Howabout dividing your costs by 2.5 and comparing?:j0

I got impatient after a few days just wanted to get going! 2014 is a long way away and my plan is to keep some luxuries so Im making it stay longer than it could be. Excellent news on reaching your target. Just aim for the next now.:j0 -
