Hugs pepys!! It can be tough but just do teh best you can & when things get bad just dudt yourself off and start again. We WILL get there in the end but its gonna take time - just as it did when we spent the money in the first place! B the time we finish we'll be much more money savvy, happier & will never, ever go there again will we eh! Chin up...summer will be here soon!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! My personal target this year is firstly to break under 20k but hopefully break 18k by the end of the year. Know this is gonna be a tough one but have got a tax rebate due later in the year for around £600 and need to renew both car insurance and mobile in november so if I go through Quidco that should bring in another £200 ish plus and can then sell the phone on via ebay. So, that it not far off £1000 already!! My big debt is my HSBC loan which costs over £565 per month and is a stretch each month...Am thinking of transferring this over to Egg in the summer if I can get a LOB rate..!!Debt at lightbulb moment (June 2007) was £31,738.19Debt as of 1st January 2010 was £21,905.82

I have set myself a mini target of getting under £40k by end of February but hopefully will manage it by end of Jan. Then my next target will be under £35 by the end of summer. Will make that the end of August. Not sure if I will manage it but my payments per month are £725 so if I find an extra hundred or so per month I might just make it. Would love to have paid £10k by end of year. x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Have set myself some challenging targets now. Things have been moving too slow for my liking. I will be doing a revised SOA in the next couple of weeks, as I have improved things.OH is much more onboard now, he has no choice because I remind him about budgetting cionstantly!unsecured Debts at [strike]August 2007 £79,984[/strike] September £79,579 [STRIKE]Snowballing date July 2013[/STRIKE].

Nightmare what happened? Did you miscalculate or overspend? If you miscalculated just remember where you went wrong but dont beat yourself up because as long as you are paying money off each month you are heading in the right direction.
My target is to repay my loan and it has 6 1/2 years left. If I can repay before then and have some savings excellent but if not nevermind as long as the debt goes at some point and doesnt increase again. Personally I am struggling to see beyond this month let alone more than a year!!
