  • Hi all. Lots of new members now. I will be here until Sept 2013 or hopefully slightly less than that. Had set myself a target of below £40k by end of Feb but managing that no bother due to overestimating what I owed on my car. I really want to try and get under £35 by end of June so thats my new target. x

Dunno - I knew it has be obfuscated, and it just kind of twigged how it had been done. I'm more used to substituting numbers for letters like 1d10t and 51a6.

Welcome ginormousfalres (90) you are!! Welcome :)
Been a good day as decided that I will do cash for my groceries (doing Jan challenge on old style) as this is one of the areas for improvement! Think paying cash will make me think a bit more carefully & will be easier to manage than endless calculations. Fingers crossed! Hope youre all ok!

Have made a few payments today and have updated sig. I have not been including interest in all my debts so I am going to do an updated total tomorrow. I am hoping it wont affect my debt free date though!

    Welcome to all the newbies.

MIT - good luck for your target

  • Been good over the last few days spent £5 on 2008 wall planner, £2 on an egg fried rice whim and gave OH £15 for petrol and bits for him. Good news is the bank should be refunding the £28 bank charge so overall pretty much 0 spend!

I know its not much but I can easily spend money at lunch, going shopping for something we might need but not really urgent and then find other stuff we didnt think we needed!

The longer I can go before spending the better as Jan is a loooong month. I ve already remembered I have a backlog of guides money and DD2 is about to join brownies.

I had to return a cardi to M&S to get the next size up - no problem there. Unfortunately I had time to cast my eyes over their clothes and remembered that I would like one or two long-sleeved woolly tops to wear under my cardis or jumpers during the cold spell  For some minutes I had an internal argument with myself as to whether I should flash the Switch card and rejig my January budget, flash the Switch and forget the budget  or see if I can find similar items but in Primark or MkOne, using my weekly 'mad money' allowance of £15 (which doesn't actually start til next week.............).

I walked out the shop with just the next size up cardi! Phew, that was a close one.

I just wonder if I was to say 'The Round Table' Forum, would that mean anything to you? I would explain but I don't want to make myself look like a div if I was wrong!!! LOL :p

Great will power :money: not sure if I would heve controlled myself. Dont often shop for clothes but can be silly when I do. Reward yourself if you stick to Jan budget.
