Welcome more newbies! 15 to go & we're at 100! Not necessarily a good statistic but good in that we're supporting each other on a difficult journey. Just home from work (skived early!) to a nice letter from Barclaycard declining my offer of a card with them at 0% which is annoying...will investigate further as I did Martins work out thing before I applied & it said my credit rating was excellent (never missed payments!) so am flumoxxed - only thing I can think of is accounts I closed havent told credit agencies...Its not the end of the world & is an incentive to pay more off when it goes to 17% in Feb on one of my cards! Off to have a nice soak & get into PJ's in readiness for DFW party!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi
Just spent an hour and a half going through this thread. Can you add me to the list please? Im a working mum with a stay at home dad and three youngish children. Spent the last 12 years building up overdrafts and credit card balances and then consolidating. Realised it cant go on. Fighting depression on and off so have been looking at that board too.:j0 -

Just thought I'd drop in to wish all you long-haulers a really good year in 2008.
I've not joined the 'club' as I hope I'll be debt-free by January 2009 (and maybe earlier if I get lucky with more competitions and there's a bidding frenzy on some of the stuff I put on eBay  ) but I always read this thread as it's heart-warming and inspiring. I recognise people here from other threads I read too so it's like being among friends.
Take care
