Back at work today, I had a week off as I had not taken any holiday this year. Last night it didn't feel like I slept at all just that I was lying there for 6 hours. I'm very anxious, it always feels like the day before a new term at school and I am 36 years old, why is that? I'm up early as I am going to make some sandwiches for lunch.
Quite proud of that, small pleasures, bet I'll be knackered come 4:30 this afternoon.- MSE Forum Achievements:

Ok it's time for the slightly late money update.
The original debt now stands at £2800:j hoping to clear this by June 2013.
Overdrafts which are in use is mine which has a limit of £400, hoping to reduce it to £200 over the course of next year.
Now for the not so good bit. New debt cos of big birthdays and Christmas,
OHs credit card is at £1691 got £300 stashed to pay off this and my credit card is £400. Taking into account the £300 we've paid off £8082.80 (I think) off the debt and knocked the stuffing out of the overdrafts.
The overall debt figure is £4591.00
LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Hi all, no 136 reporting, I havent been on here much but am nearly at my DFD and just wanted to wish you all a wonderful Xmas and successful New Year.
Every little payment brings our DFD ever nearer, all we need to do is keep at it which I know sometimes is easier said than done!! But that is all we need to do, that is what the last 2 years have taught me.
Take care all!xx0 -

Update from me. We've cleared just shy of £9K this year, and our total debt, including overdraft, stands at just less than £40K now. I'm hoping to clear over £10K for 2013....still plodding along.....Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

Hi all
managed most of xmas on savings not credit....so with only just over minimum payments made to ensure December salary streches through to Jan payday my DFD slipped by one month to May 2016 (41 months to go!!!!)
Hoping to pull this forward this year, hoping to make a reasonable overpayment at the end of January when i see how much i have managed to "save" (not spend!) during Dec and Jan.
I am going to continue with my plan of making just over the minimum payments on my debts during the month and then "saving" to make an overpayment on my highest APR account (as per my snowball) at the end of the month.
Good luck to everyone on the road to debt freedom.....LBM @ 01.01.12 TOTAL DEBT = £13301.77. LH number 320

Reading your posts has encouraged me more. lucielle I am where you were in 2007, £60k to go but can see it is possible. We have paid off 10% of our debt minus mortgage in 2012.
Hoping to pay off as much in 2013 but DH is out of work: we have pensions which pay the bills but need the extra to pay things off a bit faster.
We are only £500 off from a sub £60k balance so champing at the bit to pay it off.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
