My mum died 21 years ago, and although we drifted apart because of her odd behaviour, I still love her now as much as I did when I was kid and still think of all the positive & fun times we had together and not the person she turned into.

I found the first year the hardest, once the 1st anniversary went by things got easier.

As the only of her 3 kids who live near the cemetery I put flowers on the grave on the following dates :

6th Feb - day she died
13th Aug - her birthday and also every Easter, Mothers Day & Xmas.

Its only a £3 bunch of flowers from Asda, but my elder sister and younger brother agree with me, that its the thought that counts NOT the value.

Hello newbies and hi everyone Ive signed myself up for poamayc 2013 its just the motivation i need! I paid off 11k in 2012. 2013 will be about clearing all unsecured negative wealth and will allow me to start 2014 with only the secured negative wealth to pay yippee..

Mummyrivett the xmas holidays sounded lovely, i imagine it to be rather nice to be absent from technology and hassles of the normal day to day activities. Sometimes its just nice to get back intouch with the basics and its good for the soul. xx

Piknie thats great that you feel in control the lbm is a scary time i felt like a deer in the headlights when i first started i had to think month to month now im in such a better position and the negative wealth is reducing nicely

Aaaaaaaah. November 2012 I had my 2nd LBM. I just found this thread and thought "Oooh I will sign up for this". Then I checked the list of supporters and I am already here (#81) from my last LBM :mad:.

I am angry with myself as I would have been Debt Free If I had just stuck with it, :mad:

So I am back, and will bloomin well stay here until its all gone for good.

Sorry to post in such an angry mood but needed to vent.

M.I.T - sending you blessings, I know how hard it is, it's been 10 years since my Nan died, she was like a mother to me, I spent most of my life, growing up, with her. It sounds like you are very, you should be proud of yourself.
