Following Marks turn... a bit about me...
Am 35 next month (dont worry about turning 30 Mark its not so bad!)
Newly single and left in a bit of debt from ex from hell. Got a job I hate, am hopefully starting some new training for a better paid job next year to help reduce that debt quicker. Aim to be debt free in the next 5 years, hopefully less!
Hi Mark BTW, reassuring to see a fellow new chap here!I am one of the 63336.'It is better to have lived one day as a tiger than a thousand years as a sheep.'

Hi everyone, how are we all?
I am just paying minimum payments at the minute until Christmas is over. It's really frustating though but I dont want to leave myself short for Christmas by overpaying too much now.
I am going to need a mini challenge for January to get me back into the swing of things. Has anyone got any ideas?
Im pretty much up for anything! x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Hi all
just another little chat with with yorkshire plank credit card:rolleyes: ,
I set up an agreement to pay, set up standing order it gets paid before due date, its less than min payment but more than the interest so they won't freeze interest, and yet again on statement a late charge fee second time in a row
I've got them cancelled but will i have to call them everytime i get my statement, for me to tell them about the agreement and then for them dopey gits to tell me
Ohh you paid what you we agreed and when it was due, err I don't know why the charge was added you'll be credited with the refund on next months statement
was it a bit cheeky to say i'll call them on 15th next month to about late charge as you won't done my statement just to save time
just listening to the confusion of the opperator was brilliant :rotfl: they started sounding like Frankie Howard:D
just thought I'd share that
Thanks ISOM for sorting the numbers:T

I see there are some very attractive new faces in the long haulers! :grouphug:
:hello: :hello: :hello: Hiya lovelies!
I especially liked the "Hubby on Board" date in your sig Nelmer.
I'm Jacks, I'm 30-flippin-8  - but lots of my friends seem to be turning 40 at the moment so I'm feeling a bit younger than usual!
24th August 2006 I finally added everything up and found our to my sick shock and horror that we owed £96700 and change.
Then...just over a year ago in October I jacked in my F/T job and now I work P/T and mess about doing a bit of eBay and mystery shopping.
Because all my work related expenses have gone - such as a second car, and childcare, lunches, work socialising (Plus takeaway cos I'm too knackered to cook when I get in, ready meals cos I'm not home to cook for my family) etc we're actually a little bit better off.
We've cut down our spending a lot too obviously - but it's not forever. We'll be able to go to comedy nights and see bands again in a year or so according to Mr Snowball Calculator!
In the meantime it's girly dvd nights with lots of wine, every house party I can wangle an invite toand student nights out (£1 a drink and free to get in! Woooo! )
God. I do go on don't I????
