Pania, Karmacat and myself have tentatively mentioned a meet in London in March, however I understand that a long haulers meet (after B'ham in Jan) was being mentioned. I am happy to organise one but don't want to tread on anyone's toes if another meet is being arranged. Any thoughts?

sorry pepys yes I do have a new name - mainly due to some very lewd comments due to old username that was the final straw! This feels much more me too!
Pay day tomorrow and been feeling the STREATCH of the long haul of late...some days just seems never ending doesent it eh! Also have a cold which doesent help & Christmas just adds pressure to being skint. Remortgaging has been a mare and if old co havent cocked up, sols have and now discover that theres a shortfall between redemption & new loan amount so had to cough up £80. Not major bucks but £80 not budgetted for & as always puts CC payments back, not helped by Christmas!! Hopefully it will go through on Weds though. Just wearing isnt it!
Laughed at the refund YM - still money after all eh!! Yahoo! How are others doing with Christmas looming? Hope you're all ok...I'm still poking my head in the sand about it & still havent got a single thing!! oops!

I am busy standing still at the moment. Using any extra money for Christmas. Hard work to even stand still as I really,really dont want to add to my debt. No doubt we will all be confessing at the end of the year and making further resolutions for 2008. I must say though I will go forward into 2008 in a much better frame of mind and a much better position than I started 2007. Must be good

It's amazing how much more positive I feel about money this year than last year and how I'm not worrying about the cost of Christmas because my only aim for 2007 was that I didn't get into more that £100 worth of debt. It's really looking like I'll cover Christmas and have £200 left over for... buying Christmas 2008 pressies in the sales.

Thats the spirit girls! We'll get there! Re the meet I am happy for people to arrange whenever. If there is a Jan meet the a Mch meet how about the long haulers look at one in the summer? We're a relatively new thread & I thin it would be good to get to know people a bit before meeting up plus with Christmas to navigate and overcome Im in no hurry for extra expense as determined to get my cc's under 7000 (currently 770 so that has to be my priority at the moment. I'm also happy for others to arrange it so not treading on my toes! We all have parts to play after all! What do others think? Right MUSt go to bed..the nightnurse (boots own brand!) is taking effect! hugs all and wll done Ym on getting to 95%!! Will work mine out after I've done my accounts! All a bit up in the air as I dont know when old & new mort payments going through! So confusing!

Not getting on at all at paying any extra to my debts, I am just paying the monthly amount to CCCS due to christmas, still at least my debts are reducing.

After Christmas I am really going to try and work on them, try and earn some more money to put in my savings account ready to make offers on balances when I can.
