Happens to us all poorbabe! Just get back on the wagon & dont let that 0% lull you into a false sence of security!
I have now updated numbers on post 1 so please check that you have a number if you wanted one & pm me if you havent! Hopefully that will give hypno some chill time but pepys please bear with me as I am dyslexic so may get spelling/numbers mixed up!! Just tell me if I have! I do try to check but dont always get it right!!
My mortgage has been sorted today but they got the payment date wrong so have negociated with them and they will now do what was originally agree - ie take payment on 4th for interest between now & then & then normal payment on 20th as originally requested! What a flipping nightmare though! While I may have saved £50 a month its certainly been the hardest remortgage ever to arrange! !!!! ups all the way and a solicitor who to date still hasnt rung to confirm its gone through!
Hope you've all had a less stressful day, not helped by the fact that I stil feel cack!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

OOh I'm definitely going to go Taxi - there's bound to be freebies! ...but I did have a bit of a gulp at the thought of what I must have spent to get invited.

dsljfreeman wrote: »Good evening all,
Jacks - glad to hear your hubby is ok, but know what you mean by the 'what ifs'
Hubby is working away all weekend, but will be home t'moro with an extra £700, not bad for 2 days work, will use most of this for debts, but will also use some of it to finish off xmas shopping, plus hubby needs £100 for his cbt test on Monday.
I tallied up my total debt today and since my lbm a month ago we've managed to shave £1240 off the total, which while not loads is a start and I'm really proud of us.
I'm sometimes finding it hard to keep myself so motivated so at the start of next year (once xmas is out of the way) I'm gonna set myself little targets with regards to paying off debts, instead of thinking of my debt as a whole £45k  I'm gonna cut it down into creditors and work at paying off 1 creditor at a time (obv while still making minimum payments to the others) does that make sense? I think my hubby's Vanquis card has the highest APR, plus this is the card we've had the most trouble with, so come 2nd January I'll be setting little tasks to pay this off pronto. The credit limit is £1000, the balance is £1005.01 and the minimum payment each month is £50.
Between now and then I will be using the cashback and survey sites like a mad woman
*And so the long haulers journey continues*
 Thanks honey,
The blimmin' insurance company of the other driver rang up and offered us £300...
I said "Your client robbed us of our lovely car (It was an old heap but it suited our lifestyle and we really loved it!) and... (big gulping sob) AND....You.. Made.. Me.. Think.. About.. My.. Husband.. DYYYYYYING! So I'll have a look round at what replacing our car with something vaguely comparable's going to cost and you have another think about that poxy £300."
I think the small achievable targets are a good thing too honey. I tend to join big challenges onn here but sometimes you can "go off the boil" smaller objectives will keep it fresh and you'll get that motivating boost whan you succeed more often! :j

Lemon_Tree wrote: »let me know how it goes Jacks, i certainly worked for my friend, she got the offer doubled. But then again it wasn't an expensive car.
 Neither was ours honeybun - but we loved it.
I faxed the insurance company copies of the receipts for work done in the 6 weeks before their client wrote our car off (cos now I'm a DFW I keep receipts!) and we'll see how it goes.
They've offered £300 and we've said we want £1000so it's now a negotiation.
They're paying for a nice hire car for us as specified in our policy so we're in no rush...
