Afternoon long haulers,
I've reached a standstill money-wise, need to do a new budget for next year but really, is there any point? Father is spending again, he's got £60 worth of overdraft charges again this month! :mad:No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Afternoon..fellow longhaulers....hope you are all ok...wecome to any newbies and you will all get there...just think of the fantastic party we're all going to have the day we are debt free!!!!!.....it's amazing the amount we can pay off in a year once we put our minds to it and the amount of money I've wasted by not even thinking about what I spend is horrendous...and look at the valuable lessons that we will have learnt for the rest of our lives!!!..this site and the people on it are unbelievable...0

I've just had my paylips (payday tomorrow) and I have managed to earn £350 extra this month after tax and other deductions. That is by doing overtime on my main job and I also do a second job too (though get taxed BR on that ). I have got to order a new passport for DS (£46 ish) but the rest is going on debt repayments. In addition I am expecting £7.65 from Quidco and £50 from Topcashback this month.
December is looking just as good, I will have earned about £500 extra after tax, most of which will be paid to debts.
I will update snowball and signature this weekend, I am so excited (but worn out too!). :T
Edit - damn, just remembered that i had car brakes done last week and paid for it on Visa (£109) but will pay off tomorrow. Still, in pre LBM I would have stuck it on visa and not bothered paying it off at all!Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -
Finally read all the way through, and caught up a bit! Loads of new names - welcome aboard to all of you!
Debt busting here is on a bit of a go slow - we need to get the kids off skiing so that has to take priority, and in the meantime only minimum payments are being made - however as our minimum payments are £1300 (without the mortgage!) this is still an achievement I suppose!
Once I have got them to France, I will pick up the baton again and re-assess, then it will be debt busting all the way!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hi All,
ISOM - thank you for my number. Well Ive almost finished my xmas shopping. Thought I was doing really well with my saving and so on, but then the wonderful washing machine that I so highly rated on Ciao has packed in - no longer heats up. I had noticed that stuff wasnt coming out clean but thought nothing of it. Dishwasher has also been playing up so went on the site and its the same thermostat problem. Repairman is on his way for the washing machine anyway can live without the dishwasher for now, but the callout charge deeryme, im in the wrong profession.
Also need to service the car as its flashing lights at me telling me my TCS isnt working - who needs traction control anyway - Ugh.
Cant these things wait until after xmas before they want to mess around.
Happy paying off all and welcome the newer members.0 -
