  • Hiya! Monday at 8.13pm I will be 40 and I am looking forward to it! We celebrated last night with a load of friends and family so have a bit of a hangover today. I have updated my signature and have pondered what it will mean to be 40 and what i want to achieve before I am 50.

So I am going to make the most of it!

    Take care all

    Happy birthday for tomorrow 1step.

Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while but managed to update my signature. Unfortunately, like some others, I've increased my debt overall mainly due to having two overseas holidays this year. Financially stupid I know but the first one has been great for my sanity and the second one is sports-related as I'll be doing a marathon then visiting/annoying family.

With all the increases in food etc, I've paid even more attention to my outgoings and have managed to reduce my electricity and gas usage a bit more. My plan is to turn my heating on on 1 October, but we will see as normally I would have turned it on already

I'm wearing layers indoors which helps and I wondered why I never thought of it before :o. My next project is to get blankets to use as mattress protectors for my beds and get one (or two) of those 'furry' throws for the sofa as that will make it much more cosy than the cotton throws I currently have on it.

I'm gearing myself up for a tough year next year, but in a strange way I'm looking forward to it and am determined to stick to my DFD as that is the final month of my 48th year and I made a promise to myself that I WOULD be debt-free by my 49th birthday.

Of course, lots of prayers are involved too :D
