Hi all!
Been lurking for ages and like others seem to have lost that enthusiasm. Good and bad news: I have a little car! it was a real bargain and affordable for me and life is sooooooooooo much easier not having to rely on lifts and stuff, waiting for hubby so i can have the car for shopping and things like that.
Bad news: we really really wanted to go away this xmas to get away from families and everything, have a proper break you know? But looking at flight tickets it is not feasibel at all and we really would have been stretching things. as its holiday season it was the flight pushed it right up and I decided further debt was not the answer. so we have decided to ignore xmas and all the rushing around/cooking buffet loads of food/constant cleaning etc etc etc and STRESS that it entails. and just relax. see if any of our families do actually invite us!!!! or offer to take us places instead of expecting us to drive everywhere.
This is a relief actually as I was wondering how we would afford it and basically we can't. so although disppointing a weight has been lifted!
anyway thats my news for now, see you all again soon!If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Hiya
we looked at all flights and one of th emajor costs was putting the dogs in kennels. Never mind! at least I will have time off from work which is the main thing as we get a generous holiday period where I work.
excuse the typos I am shattered.
That op sounds very painful with those bruises, what happened? If you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

It's good to know there are others out there that are in as much debt as me, approx £50k, i've always earnt really good money £35k/year but i lost my job in April due to cutbacks, 4 years with same employer i got 4 weeks redundancy pay !! .Anyway have a job now but only for £20k a year so my debts are starting to weigh heavy, don't sleep well, lost 2 stone in weight e.t.c, am still looking for another job at a higher salary so fingers crossed, thing is, i've never really known where my debts have come from, i think it's just been me being crap with money. Have got really high interest rates on most of them and i've been turned down for last 3 cards i applied for. Had an idiot steal/clone one of my cards and i'm trying to get £700 back off Abbey bank but they won't pay it back and i've got a cahoot account on my credit file that is not mine and i know i need to get that removed, need more hours in the day.. Do i sell my house now in this poor market and downsize or do i hang on and struggle ? Who knows i live each day as it comes, had lots of defaults come through the post of late. I find it such a relief to read all the other posts that i am not alone..
Just wanted to say thank you.#
xxProud to be dealing with my debts
IVA was the best thing we ever did_party_
Shopping was my worst addiction:o and hiding the debts was the worst guilt ever
Hoping to be debt free in 2015 :T
I have to keep telling myself "I'm not a bad person for having debt":A and nobody is going to come and get me !:eek:0
