Thanks to you both. The other car will more than likely be someone's from work too but even if I find out who's it is & confront them, they will only deny it. I guess the only consolation is that if it was their car, then they will have to pay to get their paintwork repaired:D !

Hi fellow long haulers. It is a few weeks since I have been on the site. I haven't really made headway into my debt in that time as DS leaves school next week and I have spent quite a bit getting him a ped so he can get to work. Between CBT, ped itself and insurance it has cost a fair wack but at least I have stood still and not added to it :j

My insurance claim for a car crash is about to pay out, unfortunately despite the accident not being my fault I had to agree 50/50 as there were no witnesses . I suffered bad whiplash but am still going to get just over £1k even with payout halved. It has been so much hassle and I'm still not 100% better, it's something I don't want to go through again. I've been so wrapped up in it all I haven't been logging onto MSE for ages.

I hope you are all okay, I will be trawling through posts to get caught up on everyone's progress.
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time
  • How annoying squirrel29 hope you can put it behind you soon. No progress here either.

  • As a recent arrival in the long-haul club I haven't had much to celebrate so far, just a long hard slog!

Today I finally paid off my overdraft. It was only £400 originally, but I'd left it to fester in an otherwise dormant account until HSBC reminded me I really ought to be doing something to pay it off - hence my LBM!

Just a small victory, but that means I can start snowballing - so it's a very good feeling! (unless these bl***y fuel bills really do go up by 40% ).

Anyone watching the rest of the board might have noticed I had a bit of a virtual row with another poster who clearly believes you can't make a leopard change his spots. Well - he's wrong!

Hi, can I join the club?
As you can see from my signature, I am definitely in it for a good while.
I have built up my debts through nothing more than my own stupidity and living way beyond my means.
I don't have a mortgage and have no dependants so with hard work and focus, I can hopefully throw as much money as possible at my debts.

I've started my own debt-free diary to keep me going but I think this thread will become my spiritual home.
Would be lovely if some of you long-haulers had time to pop and look at my diary and any comments/suggestions are very welcome.

Feel like I am in a very deep hole but hoping I can start clawing my way out:o
Proud to be dealing with my debts
