Well done on being so productive Cheery!
I've done a bit of work, and more painting. I'm regretting not taping the back door frame though. I'll have to do that in the morning!
My replacement curtain pole is on the way, so I also need to fill and paint where the old fixings were. And the old pole and rings will be used as firewood/kindling...
Right... I need to tape the frontdoor before bedtime!7 -
Good luck greenbee!
Early start tomorrow - got to be at a work event on the wrong side of the city at 9am 🙄 No way am I driving into the centre and trying to park at that time of day, so I'm going to park near friend's house further out and walk in - and of course that means I can join her for a cuppa afterwards too.
Should still be home for tea time, so I'm going to attempt a bit of DIY. What that is will depend on what Mr Cheery has been up to during the day. If I can reach the kitchen floor I'll throw up a ceiling panel. If it's covered in tools etc, I'll do some more painting in the bedroom...8 -
The end is in sight, CD, think how nice it will be putting everything back in it's proper placeOur place voted note to strike (although we did reach pass the 50% branch turnout threshold), but to take ASOS and work to contract - that'll make marking turnaround times interesting2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8567

Cheery - I think that Boots appliances are AO in disguise - do you get Boots points for them? - that would be an amazing amount of meal deal lunches!
We've had one fabulous delivery & installation from AO, but the second one was such a complete disaster that we swore to never use them again, we were left shaken by poor customer service & the negative experience. (...not to mention their goodwill gesture never showed up & I had to chase a refund for a return pick-up that they bodged and then charged me for!)
4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!6 -
I always buy my white goods from a local shop. Whilst they seem to charge pretty much what everyone else does their delivery & fitting is normally less & they are handy if you do need to have a whinge. I've not needed to yet, but I haven't bought anything since covid - so who knows.

Yes, I do believe we did get Boots points for the oven etc, very exciting! Must check they came through as planned 😁 Fortunately the kitchen fitters will be fitting everything so we've just gone with delivery.6

Beanie it’s similar here - we do have a oval white goods/appliances/repair shop, but a family member used them a while ago and had such a negative experience we wouldn’t touch them with barge pole! 😂🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning MSE chums!
The sun is shining, it is Friday so I am off work, and I am about to get my teeth into sorting banks/YNAB and updating the paper kitchen spreadsheet, which I confess I've been avoiding... We're getting to the point where we've almost paid for everything now and it's a bit scary...
Posting here first to hold myself accountable - back in a bit...8
