Cheery's country living adventure

Ha, yes I did get my last mouthful of breakfast as the farmer turned up - didn't get a cup of tea til about 12.30 though when I finally put my foot down!
Mr Cheery and I went on a mini excursion this afternoon to a slightly further away cafe which was nice. Now sat in the garden trying to summon the enthusiasm to do something energetic...
Dentist have left a message wanting to reschedule my appointment in September 🙄 and bike shop left a message to say my gear cable has arrived (apparently it wasn't due til September) so I can get little foldy bike properly fixed which is good.
Sadly sorting both of those things involves me going back in the house for my diary and I've not even managed to do that yet 😂8 -
Pleased you managed to fininsh your breakfast and that foldy bike should be back on the road soon.

Thanks BB 😊
Well, the sun is shining, and we are at the vets again 🙄 I'm not entirely convinced we need to be, but here we are. Rusty is not herself, but there's nothing specific we can put our fingers on. Ordinarily we might have just waited to see, but having lost two already this year who went downhill really quickly, thought it best to check. Sadly checking involves driving 1.5 hours each way 🙄
So all fingers crossed for Rusty if you have any spare.9 -

Fingers crossed for Rusty here! But also that it's not the same problem, with the extortionately price hormone implant!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks folks xx she only had an implant six weeks ago so I imagine it's not that! Although that is an easy fix and I'd happily pay for it as often as she needed it. Vet is running late, and she is currently tucking into an apple, not acting ill at all 🙄😂😂11

Hmm,they can feel some kind of fleshy growth... 😕 Might be leftover infected tissue, might be a tumour 😕 Going down the route of antibiotics and anti inflammatories first, then if that makes no difference, it's palliative care with steroids, same as Beaky 😕😕
Either way, it's lots of trying to get medication into a chicken again 😕
Not having any more after this lot, it's far too stressful 😕7 -
Oh Cheery, sorry to hear that - the medication, the possible tumour and the stress of getting it into her. 😟Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
