The plot thickens - the car we sent a message about has now been reduced AGAIN - I can only assume our messages aren't getting through, so I've set up a new account and will try again.
If I don't hear by the time we get back from the vets though we have another one to ring..5 -

I read you had 8am meeting, my first thought was RUDEFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

It's the only meeting I've ever had at 8am! And only at 8am because of time zones - for the other people it was 4pm so a reasonable compromise I thought, particularly as a one off 😊
Waiting outside the vets again 🙄 Fingers crossed 🙄6 -
I can see that is a reasonable compromise, but 8am eek, I am so not a morning person.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Hope it's okay at the vet's, Cheery, I'm rooting for you and the chicken.2023: the year I get to buy a car7

Fingers crossed for Henny Penny!
I used to be up and at work by 7.45 for many years. Now I am a real night owl and the only 8 o'clock I acknowledge is the one in the evening
The weather here is vile, very heavy rain earlier and still grey and miserable. Not that I'm going anywhere now - had coffee out with friend this morning and am currently waiting for our house guest to arrive for the weekend (this is via 'Nightstop', the charity for which we volunteer). It's not difficult!

Arrrgh to Friday meetings - I think they are all uncivilized! - I've just spent my afternoon dealing with folks in a timezone where they had only just woken up & by the end of it all was feeling mighty grumpy because of their cheerfulness. We've managed to shift one to Thursday afternoon which is marginally better, but means I won't have a weekend to mull over the action items, as they are demanding and want everything done 'now' - Hey ho - it's Friday end of day & I'm about to log off from work - YEAH! HOORAY! YIPEE!
Hope your feathered friend gets a bit of relief from seeing the chicken doctor, poor little thing ☹4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! I don't think my overseas colleagues will have been grumpy because of my cheerfulness this morning RT! 🙄😂
Thank you for your good wishes, but sadly it wasn't good news at the vets. It seems poor old Beaky has a tumour, and while they can theoretically operate on a chicken, it's difficult and she's an old lady and not likely to survive the anaesthetic.
So we have antibiotics (because she may also have an ear infection) and steroids, which will hopefully at least make her feel a bit better, and we'll have to see how we go. Stocking up on her favourite treats, of course, as it looks like she won't be with us for that much longer (although the vet said we could have months - depends how fast it's growing, but we certainly weren't going to have her put down today).
Sigh. I do love our little feathery friends, they bring me a lot of joy, but it's so hard when pets get ill 😕
Mot remotely money-saving- another £110 today, but she's far from being our most expensive chicken (not even our most expensive chicken in June!)8 -
I'm sorry that the chicken news wasn't better
At least she has had a better life with you than she would have otherwise.
