Thank you all for sharing your stories. I can really relate to a lot of them, and at group I sometimes feel I have sooooo much more weight to lose than others, but I know some of you have similar amounts to lose as me.
My story:
I started to gain weight in my teenage years. Comfort eating due to bullying and a total lack of confidence. This continued until I went to uni, when I was a size 18. Was happy at uni, but the lifestyle wasn't the healthiest, but only went up one more dress size whilst I was there.
After uni I lost a little at first, but then my mum was ill, a close friend died and the weight started to creep up again. At 24 I joined weight watchers weighing in at 18st 13lb. I quickly lost 50lb, and then met my future husband, and it slowed down, and eventually lost 75 lb (13st 8lb) but I was happy, so stopped going.
Kept the weight off for the wedding but then it started to creep back on, as I was contented, and then as I struggled to get pregnant I was comfort eating.
I finally got pregnant, but I was 19st 12lb. I was at 1 day post-birth 19st 10lb, so I consider that an achievement.
After that, I did manage to lose 3 stone on WW, over the next 3 years, but then my brother died and I comfort ate a 5 stone gain.
I then had an attempt at SW back in 2012 and did manage to lose 3 stone, but got bored and left, and gained the weight plus more again.
Then in January 2017 I joined SW again, at my heaviest ever. 22st 10lb!
Despite being diagnosed with cancer about a month after joining, and undergoing a rather hellish year of operations and treatments I am currently 3st 11lb down. Weighing in at 18st 13lb, which is exactly what I weighed when I first joined weight watchers 16 years ago.
This time I am determined to do it. I have 2 wonderfully supportive groups (online and physical group), and I know I can succeed, no matter how long it takes!Zebras rock0 -
Okay, so back to now. Not been on here since last week, but although what I have eaten hasn't been perfect, it really hasn't been too stupid. But weigh in tomorrow, so 2 good days are now needed.
Today's plan:
Breakfast - yogurt, puffed wheat and fruit
Lunch - noodles
Dinner - periperi chicken and couscous
HA - milk and cheese
HB - puffed wheat and a cereal bar
Syns - cranberry juice (0.5), miso (0.5)Zebras rock0 -
4lb off please
Delighted with that!
Very tired so I don't think there'll be much BM today. It's not that Top Baby is a bad sleeper, she isn't. It's just so wearing looking after them at this age when they're so very dependent on you for every single thing. She is an absolute delight though. I wish I wasn't a technobimbo and I'd happily show you all.
Anyway - today's plan!
B - Mushroom and potato hash with Henderson's relish
D - Chicken noodle soup
T - Chicken Biryani
HEXA - Milk
HEXB - Pitta with my biryani
Syns - not sure yet. Got some of that low syn popcorn from Sainsburys so might have that with an options and a couple of laughing cow triangles on celery sticks later on.
BM - Dragging my leaden limbs around and keeping my eyes open0 -
Wow that's a brilliant start Top GirlZebras rock0

I'm weighing in tonight instead of my regular Tuesday slot. Work have decided to send me to London tomorrow, so tonight is the only night I can realistically do it.
Not sure how it'll go. I think i'll have a small loss, or maybe a maintain, but I've not helped myself by eating a decent sized lunch (it's Polish easter, so there's a big buffet on).
Oh well. Onwards and upwards. Not a race0 -
Congratulations to Miss Teach and Nicki on being our SOTW.
Good luck Stoke for WI tonight - it's not good having to WI early, is it?
Today's plan:
B - porridge; mixed frozen berries (HEB)
L - LO beef casserole; mash (1 syn for tsp of spread)
D - pork steaks, roast potatoes, roasted onions & peppers, spring greens, peas, splash of gravy (1 syn)
HEA - 350ml skimmed milk
HEB - 40g porridge
Syns - spread 1; gravy 1; Hifi bar 3
