GTS I'd lost over 2 stone before anyone noticed I'd lost weight and they were people who I hadn't seen much of since starting SW. Oddly enough many more seem to have noticed and remarked on it recently when I've been struggling to get rid of the last few pounds.I think you're right in doing it for yourself and if you know things are going the right way, hold your head up.
MrsR enjoy your knickers - that sounds a bit wrong doesn't it??0 -
+1 for me this week.
Meal planning totally non existent last week, so no surpriseI made and portioned a vat of veg soup yesterday and I'm going to limit syns for a week - hoping for a loss next week!
;)
Sigh.... STS. Again. I don't understand it - I'm being super-good and super-on plan and doing lots of exercise. I definitely feel like my clothes are fitting me better (though still can't quite get into my target dress that I bought before I put on weight and have only worn once but the zip is at least going up higher than before...). I've lost the muffin top above my waistband on my jeans and I can now do the button up without breathing in so something must be happening so why won't the scales move??
Sorry for depressed post! Not had a good couple of days in RL emotionally but have still stuck to plan so will hope for a loss next week.Well I have stuck to plan ALL WEEK for the first time in what feels like forever so I'd better have lost
Today
B - Sausages (2), bacon, eggs, chips, mushrooms and tomatoes.
T - Sunday roast SW style. Maybe 2 x 1 syn Yorkshires.
An options before bed. WI in the morning. Nervous.
Fingers crossed, i am sure you will do fine:DSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Can I join the STS list
I am off this next week for :easter_ba :easter_os :icotbaske
I hope no one buys me any :EasterBun0 -
That sounds like yet more amazing NSVs MrsR.:T It really is a great feeling when you can go into a shop and buy whatever you fancy rather than just search for anything that fits.:DWe're away for the weekend this week and I'm lying on the bed in our hotel feeling stuffed! I'd planned to arrive in time to use the gym this evening but traffic was bad and we got delayed and now I feel too full
We're staying in a hotel with a spa next weekend. I'm at a conference so won't get a lot of downtime but I think it'll be more for relaxing and some swimming rather than strenuous exercise.:Dgettingtheresometime wrote: »2. It does take a while gts but it'll come although you do seem to have been with some very tactless people. I think sometimes it takes a while to actually drop dress sizes as most of us are probably wearing clothes that are too small when we start out. When you start wearing something new and different and maybe figure hugging hopefully the compliments will come. I have to say none of my friends or family had the cheek to tell me I'd put on weight though. Maybe if they had I'd have done something about it sooner!:rotfl:
You're definitely right about doing this for ourselves though. That's the most important thing of all to remember.
Good to see you posting tete. 1lb isn't too bad for a gain but as you settle into new job maybe you could think of SW friendly treats to reward yourself when you get home.:)Enjoy your gin maman.
I may well have one too
In the end, I had an alcohol free Saturday evening! The wine served up at my dinner on Friday was fairly mediocre and left me feeling dehydrated yesterday so I really didn't fancy any more alcohol. I ended up on 8.5 syns: half for a bit of mustard with my gammon and 8 for a Welshcake (present from DD1).
I put 12 portions of Bolognese in the freezer today and kept some out for my lunch.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with Bolognese sauce and picklesroast pork, SW roasties and BNS, swede & carrot mash, red cabbage, white cabbage, cauli, kale
Syns: HM gravy 4?, Parmesan 1, wine?? (feeling much more up for it tonight:D)0 -
Tete- believe it or not 10 pairs!
:eek:WHAT?! What a bargain! Enjoy them!I have to say none of my friends or family had the cheek to tell me I'd put on weight though. Maybe if they had I'd have done something about it sooner!:rotfl:
People keep telling me I look "well", which I think is code for "robust" or "fat"I'm always hesitant to mention people's weight (loss or otherwise) because you never know whether it's intentional or not and it's none of my business anyway. Perhaps it's that GTS, or maybe not if they've mentioned it before...? Hmm.

Thank you! To be honest I think I'm just hungry and tired and want my tea, not a treat per se - will try to live from the freezer/pantry this week and come straight home without stopping at the shop. Ooh just noticed pickles on your menu for today, they'd be a good stopgap when I come in the door, always got loads in the fridge.
Plan for tomorrow:
B - Mullerlight with clementines, passion fruit and blueberries
D - Salmon salad with grated carrot, smoky beetroot (0.5), leaves, cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg, raw sliced carrots and almonds to graze on
T - Speedy quorn chilli on a bed of stir fried mushrooms, carrot and courgette (bit random but they're all going a bit shrivelled)
HEA - Milk
HEB - Almonds
Syns - Sugar in coffee (<4), hot choc? (2), beetroot (0.5) = 6ish
Here's to a new week! xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Good idea tete.
I eat loads of pickles as they're a really easy way of getting Speed and unlike some salad stuff they last. Vacuum packed beetroot is on Super 6 in Aldi at the moment so I've bought loads as it's long life. I absolutely love Lidl cornichons too.0 -
Ooh thanks for the tip. Cornichons are my fave!!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Back from holiday this afternoon. Haven't read back but noticed that Bubbs has got her 5 stone award, well done. How much more to target?
Well done to everyone who has lost over the last week.
It'll be a definite gain for me this week as had no control over food as it was full board. Certainly had my fair share (and more!) of gin and wine over the week!
Back on plan as soon as we got home. Damage limitation from now until Thursday morning WI!
Need to get my menu plan done for this week as need to go shopping tomorrow. There's virtually nothing in the house apart from a few HM ready meals in the freezer, some long life milk, a little bit of light butter and some tins in the cupboard!
Denise
B - bacon, egg, beans, fried up sliced potatoes (syns - 2 for oil?)
L - Two pea soup (from freezer) - dried split peas, frozen peas, stock, onions & garlic
D - beef casserole (from freezer) - beef cubes, carrots, onions, garlic, leeks, parsnips, swede, tin tomatoes, stockpot; mash (3 syns for butter)
HEA - milk
HEB - hifi bars - if needed this evening but may not bother
Syns - oil 2; butter 3; gin 6; mint chocs 6 - 17 syns
synned gin at 6 as DH made it and it was definitely more than 35mil!0 -
Good to have you back denise . I hope you enjoyed your holiday. I always miss you when you're away as we're inevitably in much the same boat!
I've been back from Italy for almost a week and doing my best to stay on plan until we go away over Easter.
