Pleased with myself as have stuck to plan since getting home on Sunday, including eating out at lunchtime today!
Went to the golf range this morning for an hour, arms feeling a bit achy now. Then out for lunch before having a dashcam fitted into the car.
Today's plan:
B - bacon & mushroom sandwich (HEB + 1/2 for brown sauce; 2 for low fat spread)
L - steak, jacket potato, peas, grilled tomato (4 syns for 10g butter)
D - mince, lentil & veg mix layered with courgettes, onions & potatoes
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - brown sauce 0.5; low fat spread 2; butter 4

Ooh, have just found this thread, will check in for motivation!
Been doing SW for 10 months now and have lost 3st 3lbs. While I am pleased with that, I have reached a plateau which I just can not get over at the moment and it is very disheartening. On the plus side, not gaining. Due to various things, including eating out & going away for a long weekend, when I went to weigh in last week, I hoped that I could get away with a gain of less than 7lbs, so was chuffed that I was the exact same weight as I was 4 weeks previously. On the other hand, I had hoped that a gain may help kick start the loss again. Not read back over the thread, but if there are any big losses here, could you let me know if you had the same issue and how you got over it?
My group is hilarious, and I didn't realise how much I had missed being there, the support is immense. One of the members has been to another group for the last couple of weeks due to work commitments and said she was so glad to be back with us, they were all so serious! What is the point in being on the journey if not able to have a laugh?A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Welcome gettingtherequickly. You've had a good loss in the 10 months you've been doing SW.
There are several members on here who have had big losses. Off the top of my head Bubbs, Miss Teach are both recent big losers - 5 stone & 6.5 stone respectively if I remember correctly.
Getting over a plateau is always difficult but sometimes just changing the things you eat works. Also don't have the same HEB every day, mix them up a bit.
A couple of other things which have been suggested at my group are eating a lot of fish over the week or eating spicy food every day - curries, tagines, chilli etc.
My group is like yours, there is always plenty of laughing going on - often at the expense of our consultant! She has a habit of saying things which can be taken in different ways and a few of the people in group have really "dirty" minds and the whole room erupts in laughter.
I really miss group when I'm on holiday for more than a week or so and am always glad to get back to SW food when I get home as often don't have control over food whilst away - except when we go away in our motorhome but haven't managed that yet this year. Have had 2 all inclusive holidays and one full board one so been difficult to stay in target range recently and have had to pay a few weeks until back in target.

Hello gettingtherequickly!
I tend to hit plateaus on a regular basis but I just plod on & hope that the next weigh in is the one that kick starts the weight loss!
Sorry about your gain Kathrynha ....but as my consultant says don't let it throw you.0 -
Kathryn - it's another week now. Just start again. You'll soon lose that small gain.

Thanks for the welcome, it is reassuring to know that I just need to keep going and it will happen. I hate fish with a passion, so that suggestion will not be taken up, although I will have a go at spicy.
Will have a read back over the thread.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
